Metallic trees to make the world a brighter place commissionned by AGC Flat Glass to illustrate sustainable development at Batimat

An exhibition of metallic trees was commissioned by AGC Flat Glass Europe to mark its rebranding (1). It is a concrete reflection of AGC Flat Glass Europe’s corporate mission to ‘make the world a brighter place’.

The installation aims to engage citizens and architects to combat climate change to make the world a brighter place. AGC is fully committed to innovative products in aid of sustainable development.

Each tree displays a selection of architect phrases - directly screenprinted on pieces of glass hanging off the metallic branches symbolising leaves.

One hundred trees were exhibited along one of Brussels’ main avenues in September. A selection of trees were also on display during a VIP evening at the Cité de l’Architecture in Paris (AGC is the Cité de l’Architecture’s glass partner). They will soon take root at Batimat to illustrate the importance of sustainable development before travelling to other destinations.
