Stone skin, Theme area at Marmomacc meets design

The second edition of Marmomacc Meets Design will once again highlight innovative applications of marble and natural stone during Marmomacc 2008 (2 to 5 October).

In Marmomacc Meets Designs efforts to grasp new indications about current life-styles. The formula is by now perfectly consolidated: an architect or a designer joins forces with a company to develop together the 2008 theme: “Skin texture”. Spotlights on marble old and new: two thousand years of culture in Italy yet still famously “unknown” among many sector experts as regards its amazing applications with architects and designers in the forefront. 

"This initiative,” said Mauro Albano, Marmomacc brand manager, "is one of the main events at Marmomacc and emphasises aspects such as quality and range of applications where stone blends innovation and tradition superbly represented by our companies." This year, these companies will tackle a new theme. "The main theme of the 2008 exhibition," said architect Vincenzo Pavan and Evelina Bazzo,” the VeronaFiere consultants for architecture and design, "is skin texture. This topic is the result of analysis of new aspects in world architecture over the last year."
