Confindustria Marmomacchine stand an important reference point
In Izmir, Turkey, March 29 to 31 were the dates for the 13th edition of MARBLE, a big international show devoted to stone materials and the technologies to work them. This year too the institutional Confindustria Marmomacchine stand was an important reference point in the colorful layout of the Turkish expo and provided the customary support for its member companies.
In fact, as always the Italian techno-stone association was present at the tradeshow with its own institutional stand, at which sector companies and operators from all over the world could meet and get information on the best of Italian production and the association’s work plans for 2007.
Held at Izmir’s up-to-date International Fair Center, this year’s edition of Marble drew a host of exhibitors – nearly 1000, 251 of them foreign representing 34 countries – and covered a total exposition area of approximately 40,000 sq m, confirming itself as one of the top fairs for the Turkish and Mediterranean markets.
The event was also an occasion for introducing the Italian companies present to the “Friend of Pietra Autentica” logo, a big new Confindustria Marmomacchine initiative to help protect and promote Italian and European stone products.
In the wake of the success of the Pietra Autentica logo – the Italian-language version of the collective European trademark to protect genuinely natural stones – many Italian technology purveyors and various institutional and promotional organizations in the sector showed their interest in being part of the project. And to satisfy this great desire to join in, the association created the “Friend of Pietra Autentica” logo for everyone who, while not producing or marketing natural stone, wants to back the Pietra Autentica project in the spirit of real stone-chain
