Recognition VISU: Rock of creamy white, with numerous oolites, some porosity, fracture conchoidal to irregular and very effervescent to be attacked with cold HCl.
MICROSCOPIC STUDY:
Comments: This is a sedimentary carbonate rock of marine origin, formed by over 70% of allochem (oolites and some fossils) cemented by sparite calcite type (0,040 and 0,090 size from mm.)The allochem (oolites and fossils) are composed of micritic calcite (grain size less than 5 microns) at which the recrystallization texture could be included in the section of Crystalline Medium, adding grain sizes of calcite that makes up allochem and the calcite that makes up the cement.
