Kidderminster, UK, Oct. 17, 2008--Brintons, the largest producer of custom woven Axminster carpet, has appointed Andrew Walker as chairman of the company.
He succeeds Michael Brinton who has held the position for nearly 17 years. Brinton continues to serve as a non-executive director and honorary president of the company.
Walker has been a non-executive director of Brintons Ltd since 2006. He brings extensive experience in global manufacturing operations to his new post, having served as group chief executive for McKechnie plc, which has 34 businesses worldwide; South Wales Electricity plc; and managing director of John Crane Polymer Engineering, which has 20 sites in Europe, UK, and North America.
