From the oldest Slate Quarries in Spain, opened under the order of King Felipe II (half of the 16th century), we present a noble and exclusive natural Stone with exceptional quality that was formed more than 550 million years ago: The J Bernardos Phyllite. Thanks to a longer metamorphism than the Slate, Phyllite is harder and compact, which allows innovative finishes: honed, flamed, bus hammered, providing solutions in flooring, coatings, countertops, slabs for ventilated facades, cobbles. It should be noted that for its Lead color and its natural veining, it's ideal on roofs both in works of historical heritage and in mountainous areas of extreme cold where it demonstrates its excellent physical-mechanical qualities thanks to a very low absorption of water.
