Company Description
ASA BRANCA from 1988 has been present on the international market for marble, granite and stone. Head offices and storehouses are located in a large area of 50.0002 in Rio de Janeiro, where a stock from 5.000 to 10.0003 of different Brazilian materials is always available for customers. During 2003, Asa Branca has opened a new stock yard in Vitoria, over 20.0002 of land, 5000-10000m3 of blocks are always at disposal of the customers. The company owns quarries in several Brazilian countries and, thanks to the untiring collaboration of geologists and mining engineers, is constantly searching for new materials to put on the market. ASA BRANCA is also the owner of hundreds of mining prospecting rights in various districts of the country. Experienced people are constantly testing the zones concerned whose width and geological aspects they take into consideration. If the case is particularly interesting, the material is analized from the chemical and phisical point of view. The most important quarries for quantity and quality are: MARROM BAHIA, DONATELLO, TIZIANO, CARIBE, AYMORE BROWN (BRAZILIAN MAHOGANY/BROWN PEARL) in Bahia, GREEN PANAMA in Rio de Janeiro and VERDE MARITACA in Minas Gerais. The last one deserves a separate consideration; it is the unique and original Verde Maritaca coming from Candeias area. Since the quarry has been opened, in 1983, its demand has been always encreasing. Thanks to its features, Verde Maritaca has been and is widely applied for big projects in several countries. ASA BRANCA at present is one of the most important blocks' exporter of Brazil. Asa Branca is able to export its goods all over the world mainly through the ports of Rio de Janeiro, Vittoria, Salvador, Recife and Fortaleza.
