Here at T.Hamiltons we have been a family business for over 125 years through 5 generations spanning three centuries passed from father to son making us the by far the oldest family run business of our type in the country. With this much unequalled experience we are second to none when it comes to knowing our customers needs.
We realise that purchasing a memorial can be a very difficult and stressful time for families who have lost a loved one. That"s why we are there to listen and lend a genuine compassionate ear to our clients, no matter how long it takes. Clients can sit all day if they want if they just need someone to talk to at Hamiltons we don"t mind, we understand and we care.
The present owner Blair Hamilton started in the trade when he was still at school during the summer holidays then joined the firm when he was 14 years old (a long time ago). The senior mason Stephen Close has over 30 years experience in the trade as does the outside letter-cutter so we truly are stonemasons unlike many who have got themselves a sandblaster, rented a shop front and call themselves master craftsmen, having never served an hour to the trade or having any knowledge of stone whatsoever. That"s why when choosing a mason we recommend you choose one with a proven track record.
