Kronos is the Xilex machine that allows total control of the filtering and adhesión process to obtain top quality finishes. It is an oven for epoxy, polyester and polyurethane (PUR) resin curing that accelerates the activation and consolidation of chemical properties in marbles, granites and other more delicate types of natural stone such as onyx or alabaster.
Kronos oven differs from conventional machines in that it performs greater filtration and adhesion of resins, and it allows to produce controlled effects on the surface finish (brightness, light and dark tones, etc.) with a production of up to 30 tables at hour.
Also, Kronos by Xilex eliminates waiting times of 24h-48h-72h since natural stone can be polished directly after only 45 minutes. In this way, production lines can perform reinforcement, finishing and continuous polishing, which translates into a 30% increase in productivity and a significant reduction in delivery times of the final product.
Maximum quality and control of the marble and granite finish
Kronos allows filtering control and perfect adhesion to achieve the best slabs quality and avoid breakage in the final material. Also, the good filtering of Kronos in its uniform process improves the performance of the resins and allows to obtain the desired surface effects on the product.
The resin hardening machine, Kronos, can easily adapt to conventional production lines as it fits to the standard size of the transport tables. Leonardo represents an innovative resin plant to dry and oven cure the stone slabs and strips (marble and granite), offering the best solution to the companies interested in low consumption, low space occupied and high quality working.
Leonardo allows to realize the same treatment process and working conditions of the bigger resin lines but with a reduced level of investment.
The storehouse has been designed in two different versions of 21 and 30 slabs storage capacity that allow a max production capacity of 7 and 10 slabs per hour respectively.
A tilting cart allows the loading of slabs directly onto the trays. The tray with slab is inserted in the drying oven by means of an elevator.
Once the slab has been dried the lifter extracts and transfers it on a special mobile working bench, reachable on his four sides by the operator.
On this bench the dried slab is “buttered” with resin and then transferred to the oven-curing store.
When the curing time is passed the slab on trays is extracted by the elevator and sent to the cart which provide the downloading.

Smart Lines are characterized by the fact that the drying and catalysis stores are assembled in the same machine.
The capacity of the store can change according with the production capacity needed.
Starting from a store capacity of 30 slabs, with the line Smart 30, for a maximun production of 10 slabs hour, it’s possibile to join a store capacity of 60 slabs, with the line Smart 60, for a maximun production of 20 slabs/hours.
The Smart Line can be equipped with automatic machine for loading and unloading.

The static store is characterised by the fact that the frame containing the slab is inserted at a level or floor of the store and is left there until the end of the thermal treatment that, according to the position in the line, may be drying of the slab or polymerisation of the resin applied to it. The store is equipped with a thermal unit that distributes hot air in a balanced way to the various floors as well as along the slab.
The power of the thermal unit varies according to the number of floors and also according to the use of the store (drying of slabs or polymerisation of the resin).

The cyclic store is characterized by the fact that all of the slabs being processed, placed on special frames, follow the same run and, finally, undergo the same thermal treatment.
Another advantage in terms of uniformity of the treatment that the slabs undergo, is generated by the fact that the frames form two columns, one moving up and one moving down. This construction feature allows for the use of two separate thermal units that collide the two columns with hot air from opposite sides.
Another important characteristic is the extremely reduced cycle time that allows for use in plants of an extremely high level of production.
The cyclic stores are available for capacities of 40, 60, 80 or 100 frames and cover a length equivalent to half of the corresponding static machines allowing for localization of high production plants in limited spaces.

RESINLINE is the range of plants manufactured by Pedrini for the resin treatment of marble and granite slabs and/or strips. RESINLINE plants upgrade processed materials mechanical and esthetical features and allow for commercialization of stones not useable in their natural conditions. RESINLINE plants are customized according to processed product, resin type, required automationlevel, available area conformation and are realized to perform various productive speeds starting from 6 up to 60 cycles per hour.

Pedrini, after many years of application of his own Research Centre and important collaborations with University Institutes, has patented the exclusive SOUNDSTONE® technological process which enhances the beauty and the strength of natural stones. The technological process is a consolidation obtained by means of a deep soaking of semi finished elements such as slabs, strips and solid stones. The technology is dedicated, it is tailored on each stone, through the performance of a number of tests which ascertain the consolidation function and the parameters of the process cycle. The polishing of the slabs treated with Soundstone® enhances the natural beauty of the stones colours. Each plant is customized and measured according to the demanded automation level, available area and requested output. Pedrini proposal is a tailored technology, which is patent covered and unique in the world.

These machines automatically distribute the resin or the filler by a spatula on the slabs or strips of marble or granite. The mechanical action provided by the spatulas allow the resin to penetrate deeply even when it is not liquid. The version for slabs automatically detects the material shape and only applies the filler on the useful surface.
