Breton's historic "handyman" robot evolves to help the process lines, which are getting faster and more powerful, with the usual reliability but with greater dynamics of movement.

Breton engineers have redesigned the JOT robot by delivering a new generation machine with a special suction cup gripping system that allows the Robot to self-configure accordingly to the size of the slab to handle. All this without the intervention of the operator, where all the suction cups are equipped with a self-closing valve which ensures an absolute grip even in case of fissured slabs.
All axes are equipped with numerically controlled brushless motors, ball recirculation guides, high precision rotation gears and reduced gearmotors in order to ensure smooth movements and to guarantee minimal stress in the handling of delicate and fissured slabs.
The new software is user friendly, easily configurable, capable of guiding the operator in her everyday work and routine maintenance, with the ability to connect to Breton via Ethernet cable.

Logotag is the 2D CAD of Taglio developed to make the creation, import, and management of the drawings easy.
It is equipped with specific functions for the marble and mechanical industries and allows the user to get all the info necessary to the Taglio CAM systems to interact with the CNC machines quickly and easily.
2D DRAWING
he user has access to all the features of 2D design and can import files in to the most common formats (DXF, DWG, AI, EPS).
Logotag is able to convert all kinds of entities and composition of the drawings (blocks, lists, spline, polyline) whatever the level of complexity is.
The drawings typically contain imperfections such as overlapping lines, discontinuities and small entities that can be easily deleted by automatic strategies and make-up.
The make-up also allows the user to group segments in to individual entities and convert segments in to arcs within user-defined tolerances.
Macro and fixed shapes are available to simplify the drawing. The standard library includes over 50 parametric figures and can be easily extended by the users through a special scripting language.
The hatching library includes all common materials, but it can be customized with new user-definable patterns and it can be used as a tool to submit additional information to the CAM application or directly to the post processor (e.g. images rastering).
RENDERING
Logotag recognizes image files in most common formats (JPG, BMP, TIF, PNG, GIF) and allows you to insert the bitmap in to the working document, managing the position and dimensions to facilitate the design of complex geometries and tracings.
You can also import Windows true type fonts (TTF) to create individual writing or more complex texts
PROCESS
Logotag natively includes a module to program, in a few clicks, simple water jet machines with up to 3 axes. Users can take advantage of the matrix positioning, the strategies of lead-in / lead-out and eventual links (bridges) to set up a cutting plane.

LEVIBRETON KLG/SF - BRIDGE POLISHING MACHINE WITH CONVEYOR BELT
Specially designed for dressing/polishing small to medium batches of granite or marble slabs. The heavy-duty structure of the machine is fixed to the foundations and “straddles” the work bench, which is equipped with a conveyor belt powered by an inverter-controlled motor.
The conveyor belt is also secured to the foundations. The spindle beam is powered by an inverter-controlled motor, which provides the reciprocating motion. It travels on guides mounted on the two side bridges of the main machine structure.
The spindles mounted on the beam are positioned into sturdy cast-iron housings and each one of them is activated by a pair of pneumatic cylinders to ensure correct vertical spindle travel. These spindles are pneumatically activated and the working pressure can be adjusted for each separate spindle.
Each spindle can be equipped with our Breton special heads with 6 oscillating bricks for dressing granite slabs or with abrasiveholding plates for polishing marble. Special abrasive-holding plates for marble polishing, to be hooked under the special Breton heads with oscillating bricks, are also available.
An electronic sensor, which is placed in entrance of the conveyor belt, scans the shape of the slab ensuring automatic adjustment of the spindle beam travel to the width of the slabs and the automatic vertical travel of the heads.
DRESSING-POLISHING UNITS
The cast-iron dressing-polishing units are the result of a special design developed to give greater rigidity without increasing the weight. A pair of cylinders with protected internal rods ensure smooth spindle positioning and travel.
Each spindle can be equipped with our Breton special heads with 6 oscillating bricks for dressing granite slabs or with abrasive-holding plates for polishing marble.
Special abrasiveholding plates for marble polishing, to be hooked under the special Breton heads with oscillating bricks, are also available.
WITH OSCILLATING BRICKS
The special Breton head with six oscillating bricks is the result of Breton’s unique experience. Complete and thorough field tests have been converted into mathematical models correlating all the working parameters (head rotation speed, frequency of oscillation, angle of oscillation, length of the brick holders, working pressure).
The ideal correlations among all the parameters were thus defined so as to maximize the head removal capacity and polishing quality. The internal components (patented) guarantee a constantly “guided” oscillation of the brick holders, with minimal mechanical play. That’s why, when mounted on the Breton head, the diamond tools always work in the most appropriate way and the output of the traditional abrasive tools is maximized.

GEKO is an automatic loader/unloader perfect for the automation of marble and granite processing lines. LEVIBRETON KLG/SM - BRIDGE POLISHING MACHINE WITH FIXED BENCH
Specially designed for dressing/polishing small batches of granite or marble slabs. The heavy-duty structure of the machine moves along the fixed bench on which the slabs to be polished are placed positioned, by means of inverter-controlled powered wheel. In the standard version, the work bench
is not included in the supply, but directly built in concrete by the customer.
The bench is 12 m long, 9.5 m of which are the working length. On request, Breton can supply additional rails if the customer requires a longer bench. The spindle-holding beam is powered by an inverter-controlled motor, which provides the reciprocating motion.
It travels on guides mounted on the two lateral bridges of the structure. The spindles mounted on the beam are positioned into sturdy cast-iron housings and each one of them is activated by a pair of pneumatic cylinders to ensure correct vertical spindle travel. These spindles are pneumatically
activated and the working pressure can be adjusted for each separate spindle. Each spindle can be equipped with our Breton special heads with 6 oscillating bricks for dressing granite slabs or with abrasive-holding plates for polishing marble.
Special abrasive-holding plates for marble polishing, to be hooked under the special Breton heads with oscillating bricks, are also available. Using the controldisplay, the operator enters the length and width of the slabs on the work bench and the distance between each slab, thus ensuring automatic adjustment of the spindle beam travel to the width of the slabs and the automatic vertical travel of the heads.
DRESSING- POLISHING UNITS
The cast-iron dressing-polishing units are the result of a special design developed to give greater rigidity without increasing the weight. A pair of cylinders with protected internal rods ensure smooth spindle positioning and travel.
Each spindle can be equipped with our Breton special heads with 6 oscillating bricks for dressing granite slabs or with abrasive-holding plates for polishing marble. Special abrasiveholding plates for marble polishing, to be hooked under the special Breton heads with oscillating bricks, are also available.
WITH OSCILLATING BRICKS
The special Breton head with six oscillating bricks is the result of Breton’s unique experience. Complete and thorough field tests have been converted into mathematical models correlating all the working parameters (head rotation speed, frequency of oscillation, angle of oscillation, length of the brick holders, working pressure).
The ideal correlations among all the parameters were thus defined so as to maximize the head removal capacity and polishing quality. The internal components (patented) guarantee a constantly “guided” oscillation of the brick holders, with minimal mechanical play. That’s why, when mounted on the Breton head, the diamond tools always work in the most appropriate way and the output of the traditional abrasive tools is maximized.

AUTOMATIC GRINDING POLISHING MACHINE FOR GRANITE SLABS TYPE “LM 2000 G/13P-3PL”
A basement for the sliding of the conveyor belt. Its technical characteristics allow the maximum stability, high quality and long life. The basement is made up of:
- A stiff electrowelded steel section basement with stainless steel rollers for the belt driving housed on its ends.
- Driving roller and belt tensioning roller, with special devices to control and regulate the sliding and the tensioning of the belt.
- Splash guards and lateral shields to avoid water slashes.
- A complete speed variator of 4 HP which allow to adjust the conveyor belt speed from 0 to 1,5 mt./min.
- A thicker conveyor belt with a tooth surface to avoid slabs slipping.
- A push button panel located over the spindles in order to make the control operation easier. It is made of steel unit containing control board for: the spindles, the belt, the hydraulic cabinet, the slabs reader, the brush and the blowing group for slabs drying
The bridge, realised in a very thick box structure guarantees a high mechanical stiffness in order to avoid vibrations during working motion. On the bridge are located the spindles with 4 abrasive oscillating bricks heads. The bridge runs over steel tracks equipped with rollers bearing in oil bath. The trucks are rectified and protected by a stainless steel seal. The bridge movement is controlled by a hydraulic motor of 7,5 HP whose speed is adjustable from 0 - 12 cycles/min. continuously Spindles with oscillating bricks plates. The spindle body is seasoned cast-iron made. Technical solutions guarantee an absolute absence of vibrations and very long life. It is made up of :
- A flange motor of 15 HP.
- A belt transmission pulley with belt tensioning device.
- A tube of chromium plate steel holding the axle spindle, protected by rubber bellow.
- A splined shaft rectified in the ball bearing housing in order to provide a perfect coupling with the pulley. The shaft is equipped with oscillating brick plate or, on request, with planetary plate with 4 satellites. The up and down movements and the working pressure of the plates are controlled by a hydraulic cylinder which is driven by a support unit composed, for each head, of a solenoid valve and servo valve for working pressure adjustment. The hydraulic plant includes an adjustable counter pressure device which allow to balance the plate weight in order to realise very low working pressures too (to polish fragile and thin slabs). The spindles are driven by a second hydraulic unit of 5,5 HP. Each spindle is controlled by the following instrumentation:
- Manometers for abrasive pressure reading.
- Command device for the up and down movements of the spindle.
- Hydraulic counter pressure setting valve. - Knob for working pressure adjusting.
- Cylinders and pistons for rapid hoisting of the holding spindle tube, the descend and regulation of the pressure on the uniform abrasive, independently from the consumption of
the same.
- Water connection tubes and pipe-fittings.
Between the dressing and the polishing plates it is installed a cleaning slabs device to avoid that eventual rough materials from the grinding phase come under the polishing plates. This device is composed of a rubber scraper supplied with motorized lifting to adjust working height according to the slabs thickness. On the external part of the bridge at the end of the polishing zone, there is applied a rolling brush ? 400 mm. actioned by 4 HP motor. It provides to eliminate the wastes of the polishing process from the polished surface. The brush, same as the spindles, has an automatic up and down hydraulic movement, synchronised with the slab passage.
The slabs presence reader device type: “STEPMATIC” is made up of INFRA RED sensor located on the front part of the machine, provide to check the slab presence thanks to electronic device which controls the plate and brush up and down movements according with the belt speed and the presence of the slab. This system allows to anticipate or to postpone, directly from the control board the lifting/lowering of the plates in order to follow the speed of the belt and to modify the lateral position of the sensors according to an eventual defect of the block.
The electric plant is made up of a board with “Telemecanique” components for the command and the protection of the motor, made up of:
- Iron made waterproof box containing valves, remote control switches thermal cut outs and all
equipment for the starting, the switching off and the control of each motor.
