About Green Grave Markers, Slant Grave : Granite slant monuments, or pillow markers are simply short grave marker tablets with a slanted face, and like upright tablets must sit on a foundation, usually with a granite base. A 2" flat area on the front of a slant monument is called "nosing", and can be polished or rock-pitched. Pillow grave markers are similar to flat markers, but are 6-8 inches high, usually with a slightly slanted face created from having a higher back edge and shallow slope, and often sit on a base in the cemetery. Pillowed gravestones can be customized with sizes, shapes, and designs.

Bevel Top Markers are slanted with a 2" pitch so that the back of the marker is slightly higher than the front of the marker. This raised headstone style makes it easier to find in the cemetery and helps keep the headstone clean as well.

Grave markers are flat bronze plaques installed on a granite stone base for the purpose of identifying the deceased. Burial headstones are upright granite monuments for the same identification purpose.
