The flexijet 3D countertop measuring laser scanner is a high-precision scanning device used with 4 axis and 5 axis CNC bridge saw. IMAGEPLUS - SYSTEM FOR TAKING HIGH-RES PHOTOS OF NATURAL AND ENGINEERED STONE SLABS, AND FOR THEIR FILING, CODING AND LABELLING

IMAGEPLUS features an advanced image digitizing technology using a high resolution industrial linear camera and a LED lighting system, which are both specially designed to render the real colours of the material.

The system sets up automatically according to the slab thickness and makes photos which are not affected by the lighting conditions in the surroundings.

The supply includes a control console complete with PC for photo display and coding; the system links some general information (material, colour, thickness, real and "commercial" dimensions that are set according to user-definable parameters, etc.) to each single photo. Information is stored inside a Microsoft-SQL database which is loaded in a server (not included in the supply).

P.S. The quality of the photos displayed on the PC video depends on the quality and "colour setting" of the video.

LABELLING

IMAGEPLUS includes a printer of labels with bar code that are manually stuck to the slab surface by the operator (manual labelling).

In the automatic version, the label printer sticks automatically the labels to the slab surface.

In line after the polishing machine, the slab passes over a synchronized roller conveyor through a special dark room where lighting system is perfectly controlled. A series of calibrated color references are used to adjust and control the perfect color rendering of the slab, making today the color measurable. This process takes a few seconds and does not impact in any way with the production flow.
The high resolution image is immediately available, while the image analysis is carried out with a cloud server system. The chromatic model is suitable to be downloaded in streaming and for synchronization to the producer’s on-line store; it could as well be displayed in Sixaview web platform.
The new technology
1 – HD SHOOTING
The shooting process of the slab is carried out in a place ideal for perfectly capturing shape and colors and to enhance all its qualities. Each type of material, from whites to blacks, from beige to colored ones, can be shot with the automatic settings of the control system.
2 – TRUE COLORS AND MEASURABILITY
The dedicated software makes the surface virtually illuminated in an uniform way and color charts ensure that the tolerances relative to color measurements are very tight. In this way the slabs look “alive”, and the details turn amazing, allowing today to measure the color on a virtual slab model. The geometry is as well measurable.
3 – VIRTUAL 2D INSPECTION
It is possible to virtually inspect each slab: the operator shall be able to report hallmarks and defects using special software functions, so as to clarify the intrinsic characteristics of the utilized material and of the out-coming finishing. Inspection refers to an online library which is constantly updated.
4 – VIRTUAL 2D NESTING AND MOKE-UP
Specific nesting algorithms allow to optimize the exploitation of every single slab according to the bill of material of cut to size items, possibly avoiding or limiting the inclusion of defective material areas: the best possible positioning of the products to be cut within the usable area of the forecast slabs will be automatically calculated. The files obtained are available for those Architects who could be interested in a virtual moke-up.

KEPLERO is the revolutionary system to create and publish astonishing realistic 3D models of stone blocks, leaving no questions unattended about color nuances, shape and dimensions, fractures, hallmarks and defects.
The system is based on a dark room and a roto-tilting device capable to properly and easily handle blocks up to 40 tons. Inside the room the lightening system is calibrated and controlled, so that the model creation is repeatable and constant.
The elaboration is carried out with a cloud server system and the 3D model is suitable to be observed thanks to a special online viewer as well as a 3D pdf file. The model is also suitable for synchronization to the producer’s store on-line but it could be as well displayed in Sixaview web platform.
The new technology
1 – VIRTUAL 3D RENDERING
A reverse engineering process is applied, aiming to transform the physical block in an 3D virtual model, extremely faithful in geometry and color. The data acquisition takes place through a rigorous process of shooting of high resolution images on two orbital planes obtained by purposeful rotation and tilting of the block itself.
2 – VIRTUAL 3D INSPECTION
The 3D model of the block is such a realistic one to make possible today the virtual block inspection: the inspection quality is guaranteed by the possibility of fully observe the six faces of the block in details. Through dedicated algorithms the inspector can annotate directly on the virtual model the following points: fractures, holes, hallmarks and defects (about this, a specific library is online available and constantly updated).
3 – VIRTUAL 3D CUTTING
With the virtual block inspection it is possible to get the slabs outcome forecast by freely pre-determinate the following information set: position of the block in the cutting phase, face cutting start and step of the blades. The profile of each slab will result along with the intersection of eventual fractures and holes. The K% factor will summarize in a single numeric value the block’s output recovery.

The ideal complement for the cutters of the MILLENNIUM CNC 5 and IMAGE CNC ranges to optimize work operations. Defines a final file that can be executed directly by the machine, without the need for intermediate processes, which reduces measurement times, drawings, hole embedding, etc...

Helios PhotoScan is the system of photographic acquisition and measurement of the slabs and shapes (template reader), with the integrated software.

Scanner for slabs used for the creation of digital high-definition coloured photos and for the detection of dimensional data. For each slab it produces a high-resolution photo, a low-resolution photo and one of the outer boundary. The control computer associates a personalized name/serial number and the dimensional data of the slab to each photo:
Length and width of the minimum bounding rectangle;
Length and width of the maximum inscribed rectangle;
Area calculated on the basis of the captured image;
Thickness
The software allows to store the data in the computer memory.
The main control panel consists of a coloured Touch Screen and of a computer with a programming system based on Linux operating system. All the machine functions are controlled and programmed by operator through an easy to use interface.

It is equipped with feelers to read width and length dimension of each slab and it can be programmed to perform on all slabs or on one slab out of two depending if polished against raw or polished against polished warehousing is required.
Anti scratch device for marble and granite slabs
• M247LD spreads on polisched surface a substance that avoids any contact between the slabs and keeps them separated during unloading, transport and warehousing operation.
• Such substance does not cause marks or shades, is easily eliminated at the moment of the slab utilization, is far more economic in cost and disposal if compared to polythene sheets.
• M247LD, that is equipped with feelers to read width and length dimension of each slab, can be programmed to perform on all slabs or on one slab out two depending if polished against raw or polished against polished warehousing is required.
•M247LD, that is an optional for Pedrini GALAXY polishing lines, is formed by a steelwork bridge shaped structure supporting the sliding sysyem for the anti scratch substance spraying pistol.
• Substance quantity and the spraying frequency are adjusted through the control panel.
• Anti scratch substance melting is electronically controlled.
• Device consumption rate is 1 about gram of anti scratch substance for each square meter of processed slab.

The IMAGESHARE system can be supplied in the MATRIX 4.0 variation, as an alternative to the standard linear scanning system, with a state-of-the-art matrix detecting system with high resolution, capable of assuring the highest standards of chromatic reproduction. Thanks to the sophisticated lighting system which reduces the necessary exposure time for detecting images and prevents any reflex also on the most difficult materials, slabs do not need to be slowed down or stopped when going through the machine.
