Richard Everitt is a Qualified Memorial Fixer and Memorial Mason.
RICHARD EVERITT, lettercutter, started his business near LEICESTER in 1995 having been apprenticed to David Barsby of G.SELLER in 1986.Richard completed a City and Guilds qualification at the prestigious City of Bath College. He has over 20 years experience in the Stone Mason’s crafts and has produced memorials and stone letter carving for a wide range of uses.
LeonardFern1Richard cuts letters in stone including headstones, commemorative plaques, house names, carvings, sundials. He also produces lettering cut straight into Rock or Buildings using traditional methods with a hammer and chisel by hand. He can also use sand blasted effects to create a more personal detailed design in works that may require a particular style designing, cutting, paint, or gilding. We fix all of our own work to NAMMs code of working practice
All our memorial products are produced using the widest choice of materials imported from India, Scandinavia, South Africa, Italy and China. We also use traditional stone from sites around the UK which include granite, limestone, sandstone and slate.
We can provide memorials fully lettered in a wide range of styles and methods from modern sandblasting to traditional hand-cut.
A memorial mason produces headstones and letter cutting for the memorial trade. They will work various types of stone, but mostly granites, marbles, slates and hard limestones.
