Traxxon Rock Drills (Traxxon) began in 1963 when it first built track mounted drilling equipment used predominantly in the forest industry and specifically designed for building roads along the rugged coastline of British Columbia, Canada. The company also manufactured tracked undercarriages for logging towers for S. Madill and then began to develop and expand its capacity and expertise in logistics, maintenance and repairs, operator training and total customer service in order to support these products in the remote areas contractors used them.
Driven by changing customer needs in the industry Traxxon transitioned from pneumatic-based technology to modern hydraulic powered and electronically controlled drilling tools. Proven reliable technologies have been incorporated into both the design and manufacturing process and the products we create and deliver to the rock drilling industry.
Our industry has evolved a great deal from the early days of pneumatic drills mounted to Sherman Tank-based undercarriages into today’s modern efficient and somewhat temperamental drill rigs. Through all of the change we have remained committed to just one thing. Drills and only drills.
Our passion has always been to find ways to continuously improve our capabilities to build and support modern drilling tools and the unique people who use them to build modern infrastructure. Now, with well over 50 years of experience guiding us, Traxxon Rock Drills has successfully integrated that proven reliability and modern technology along with a commitment to training and unmatched product support to its customers so that the tools we build and sell can be used effectively, safely and productively. Contractors can carry out drilling operations in remote, difficult to access locations knowing they have dependable support backing their operations.
