In 1960 Mr. Giuseppe PORRO founded the company 'PORRO GIUSEPPE MARMI', created for the extraction and processing of the stone produced in the Trani basin, specifically in the 'SERPEGGIANTE' type.
During the 1980s, the bisiness developed in the European market, where the PGM company became a leader in used technology and production.
In the 1990s, the brothers Nicola and Cosimo joined their father. It followed that the production was modified and integrated with the introduction of marbles coming from the quarries owned in North Africa.
In this way the new company 'PORRO MARMI SRL' specialized in the supply of blocks, slabs and machined to size of marbles such as 'Grigio Lidò', Black Fossil, Provence Yellow, Black Marquina, Travertine, Benslimane Gray, Agadir Red and other materials of North Africa.
Actually these marbles are very appreciated in the world and the exports have been successfully increased.
Over fifty years of experience give the company a special place in the marble sector.
