Company Description

As Parshan Mining we have a "Lime Stone" furnace at our facility in Istanbul and have been producing "Lime Stone" blocks at this furnace. We have been carrying out sizing and processing activities at our factory founded on an indoor area of 1500 sqm.

For nearly 50 years we have been providing "Lime Stone" that is usef for old creation resoration at Marmara Region and Thracia.

Other than "Limestone" restoration works, it is also used as a coating material in many fields at mosque faceworks, public buildings and private company investments (hotel, seaside residence, villa, education institutions, etc.) which are built throughout Turkey, as coating material.

We have been selling "Limestone" block or sized materials, which are our own products. In addition to this, we are able to carry out project applications with our own teams on demand of our customers.

Features of the Limestone

1.Organic sediment stone. It consists of sediments of calcerous, silica and fossiles (such as oyster and mussel).

2.It is a compact stone with light beige, light yellow, gray tones, fine grains and sandy appearance; fossiliferous, cavernous and crystalline.

4.It is soft before exiting from the furnace. Therefore it is easy to process. Then it absorbes the carbondioxide in the air and becomes hardened. This hardening lasts for a long time. As years pass, its resistance increases when compared to concrete.

5. While limestone’s tension, pressure, sliding resistances increase as the time passes, the pores in its formation are reduced and its resistance against water, gas emissions and outer affects are increased.

7. It was used as building blocks for many important buildings in Byzantine and Ottoman periods. (such as Istanbul Walls, Aqueduct, Topkapi Palace, Suleymaniye Mosque). It has always been the basic building block inside and outside of all buildings that constituted Istanbul’s aesthetic.

8.Mimar Sinan carried out special research on limestone and used this stone for his buildings because of its features such as easy processing, aesthetic view and resistance, etc. We are able to observe the usage areas and fineness of Limestone that is used in Mimar Sinan's constructs, on his creations that remain standing even today.
