Especially, there are rich beds in Afyon, Balıkesir, Bursa, Denizli, Bilecik, İzmir, Uşak, Eskişehir, Elazığ, Burdur provinces. Turkey, the host of the world's richest marble deposits are located in the Alpine zone and 5.1 billion m3 - nearly 13.9 billion tons it has marble reserve. This value corresponds to 40% of the world reserves calculated as approximately 15 billion m3 in the world (General Directorate of Export, Mineral Metal and Forest Products Department, 2018).
