Galala treasure marble factory is the first factory of the Galala treasure marble and granite factories compound that is one of the projects of El Galala area. The compound includes 8 marble factories and one granite factory that can produce 24 million square meters of marble and one million square meter of granite, in addition to cement block factory, lightweight block factory, artificial marble factory and factory to produce marble and granite processing tools. The factories are planned to start production by the Mid of 2020.
The marble and granite factories compound is considered the biggest marble and granite facility in the world as it has 30 gantry cranes, 96 gangsaws, 80 block cutters, 8 tower epoxy treatment lines,24 slabs processing and treatment lines and 24 strips processing and treatment lines in addition to workshops that have 16waterjet and 16 CNC centres and flaming and sand blasting lines for slabs and strips.
The granite factory has 4 multiwire machines,4 multidisc machines , 2 slabs processing and 2 strips processing lines. All the facilities enables the marble and granite compound to satisfy all the big projects demands of marble and granite with high quality and in the determined time.
The factory owes 30 quarries in El Galala area, Eastern desert, North and south sinai and Aswan areas and plans to have more than 70 quarries the quarries to satisfy the compound needs of rare and high quality marble and granite
