Klesarstvo Milan Kolar d.o.o. and stonemasonry The stonemason Damir Kolar is located in Koprivnica-Križevci County, headquartered at Augusta Šenoe 1, Ferdinandovac. The main activity of the craft is the production of tombstones and frames; cutting, shaping and processing of stone; production of elements for interior decoration (stairs, counters, worktops, shelves, floors, etc.) and exteriors (interior and exterior window sills, cladding of pillars, fireplaces, fences, etc.). The current craft market is Croatia, with a tendency to expand towards a potential foreign market.Geographically, we cover over 7 counties: Koprivnica-Križevci, Bjelovar-Bilogora, Virovitica-Podravina, Sisak-Moslavina, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Varaždin and Zagreb counties.The craft was founded back in 1957 out of love for stonemasonry, which my father has been involved in all his life. That family bond and love for the stone was passed on to my children as well. The son also has a stonemason’s trade, and the daughter works in my trade and is among the few women to have passed the master’s degree in stonemasonry. I consider this my greatest success. I have been a craftsman for over 50 years. I perform my activity in a modernly equipped space. As I am constantly investing in the improvement of production processes and market competitiveness of services, and by modernizing existing technologies, we want to achieve a higher level of ability in the market in the economic sector.Looking back, I realize that from the first hammer and chisel, to today’s tools and machines, the most important has always been the master’s hand, as it created a shape that opened the soul of the stone to the world. It is not surprising, therefore, that our products are occupants of many homes of original atmosphere, as well as design elements of many public spaces where they inspire all who approach them, even when their task is to draw visitors' attention to the transience of the earthly.I am proud that with this poetry of stone that we have been reading for generations, we have not neglected the company's business, so we have been recording constant growth since its foundation.In order to enable you to impress the stone, our approach to stone processing implies professional and responsible action towards all parties, the customer, the supplier and each employee.
