The Sarner porphyry from the "Vormeswald" quarry is particularly characterized by its light red to pink color and homogeneous structure.
This durable natural stone is ideal for large-area use, both indoors and outdoors, and is used by architects throughout Europe for its pleasant and warm appearance. It is used in particular for facades, floors, bathrooms, stairs, kitchen countertops, window sills and stone fountains.
From a geological point of view, this stone belongs to the well-known Bozen quartz porphyry group, which stretches across South Tyrol and Trentino and is around 280 million years old.
