COMPANY PROFILE
Chakrapani Stones Company (P) Ltd is a new company and represents a multi-crore rupee investment in a state of the art facility at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (India). A spacious, wholly owned, facility processes sandstone from our own and other quarries. Modern, machinery and well trained staff have resulted in a streamlined and Flexible production process.
Products Chakrapani Stones deal exclusively in the finest sandstone available in India. Predominant colours are Mint white, Mint Yellow, Fossil, Lalitpur Yellow and Lalitpur Grey.Other colours such as Dholpur Beige, Agra Red are also available.
Finish
A variety of finishes are available to suit the usage and customer preference:
Natural
Riven/Split face
Polished (standard or Mirror)
Sand Blasted
Honed
Sawn
Tumbled
Each of the above finishes may be calibrated to a requested stone thickness.
Calibrated stones are produced with a grooved back surface for improved bonding to the base surface. Calibration on Natural and Riven faces is to a more relaxed tolerance due to the uneven finish to the visible surface. Tumbled stones are roughly calibrated before tumbling and are not calibrated after processing
Edging: Square cut, Rounded, Chamfered, Tumbled (Natural look)
Shaping:
Standard square and rectangular in various sizes
Rectangular with 30o, 450 or 60o sheer angle
Triangular
Fully rounded
Moulded (for edging strips)
Curved Rhomboid for concentric circular or spiral patterns
Facing Stones
Aimed at the commercial building market for facing low and high rise buildings. All these stones are calibrated. Edges are square cut or chamfered. Edging and mosaic tiles can be calibrated for use as cladding/facing stones
Process & Quality Control: We have a 40 ton gantry crane on rails. Situated over a pit, all sizes of raw sandstone block that can be delivered by road can easily be handled. Access for all road vehicles, including full container articulated units is clear with ample maneuvering room in the yard.
Cutting: We have a pendulum gangsaw offering parallel faces to a tight tolerance

Up to 85 blades may be used
Cutting to size: Slices are cut to size on one of two water lubricated bench disk cutters. Staff is well trained and wears suitable clothing. Benches are suitable for up to 2m x 2m slabs. The bench units allow for skewed rectangles, triangular and curved shapes. Curved radii to any requirement up to machine limits
Calibrating: Slabs and tiles are calibrated on a water lubricated unit (1mm width calibration machine) for 12mm to 65mm thickness. The finish is grooved to aid bonding.
Edging: Edging may be square, chamfered or rounded. This is achieved on a water lubricated machine. Mouldings are available to standard patterns and bespoke on request. Natural finishes can be delivered with a square cut of hand finished (less even) cut.
Finishing: Finishing is completed prior to calibrating. Polished finishes are water lubricated.
Quality Control / Inspection: All slices are inspected for damage. All cut stones are inspected visually after each stage. Finished batches are checked for colour uniformity and surface imperfections.

Sandstone is checked and confirmed to be in accordance with the following:

Packing, Transport & Despatch
Slabs & Tiles are carton wrapped and then crated suitable for sea transport. Shipments for export are in full container loads only.

Shipments are made against 100 % advance before Shipment only.
