The history of Travertini Paradiso began in the early 1900s. It is the story of over a century of experience, of a family's passion for its territory and its bond with the typical stone of this area, where the most extraordinary things are the simplicity and beauty of nature. It is here that, over the last three generations, projects and products of all kinds and prestige have been created all over the world, by the greatest and most important architects. In this corner of Tuscany, Travertine takes on exclusive colors and stimulates the minds of great artists who transform their dreams into reality.
It was grandfather Alibrando Dei who started the business, a man with a great entrepreneurial instinct, who in the 60s decided to buy a small travertine quarry and who in a short time managed to reach the level of already structured companies. Also in those years Alibrando also bought another company in the Tivoli area, which allowed him to penetrate new markets. Ten years later the newborn Gruppo Dei took over Travertini Paradiso, a historic company of stonemasons that had been operating in Serre di Rapolano since 1908.
After 1970 the Dei Group reached its maximum expansion, with a workforce of 330 employees and the conquest of new markets, under the guidance of the eldest son, Eng. Glauco Dei, who took the reins by developing growth and innovation, dedicating his life to expressing his expertise and acquired know-how.
Travertini Paradiso is today a leading company in the travertine extraction and processing sector, being able to count on three companies, where all types of products are produced, from slabs and tiles, to every type of furnishing element for the home and for the bathroom, a vast range of mosaics, up to the most advanced architectural projects, and the important interventions in the skyscrapers of New York.
The company relies on a close-knit team of specialized people, united by professionalism and passion under the direction of Camilla, the third generation of Dei for over thirty years. An area where quality standards and efficiency, integrity and creativity are combined, with a strong focus on safety, sustainability and the environment.
