Crema Fiorito
Pale yellowish-grey uniform sandstone with fine grain and high degree of porosity.
It is formed predominantly by carbonatic granules of algal fragments, foraminifera shells, fragments of bivalves, plates of echinoderms and glomerules of micro crystalline calcite. The siliceous granules are rare and created by quartz and flint.
According to the petrographical study and the NCE-CE-CI Zuffa diagram (1980), Crema fiorito is classified as calcarenite.
