Marmi Mecca has been cutting granite blocks into slabs and tiles since 1970. Today it is a leading company in the production of granite tiles, slabs, and cut-to-size pieces. Since the introduction of machines good for cutting blocks into thin granite in the Mid 70s, the Company has placed a big emphasis on thin (3/8"-thick) tiles. Towards the end of the 70s, it started shipping its first containers to the US. While keeping itself on the cutting edge of both technology and overseas provision of blocks, the company has devoted resources to the research and the study of the US market, by developing a strong customer service. Now, almost a quarter of a century later, most US tile and stone distributors enjoy receiving Marmi Mecca high quality tiles every month. Today the factory occupies a land area of roughly 1.5M sqf , a good third of which is covered, the rest being mainly devoted to the stocking of slabs and blocks. Three giant block-cutters, two continuous polishing lines, one flaming line, three packing lines make the production of 60 crates of tiles a day possible. Ten gang-saws and two slab-polishing lines, help meet the needs of an ever increasing demand of nice slabs from US distributors and fabricators. Mr. Pier Luigi Bana is the owner of the company.
