Company Description
Since the dawn of time the architectural element of a natural stone floor has been the essential component of luxurious villas/castles and stately homes around the globe. Marble.it has served hundreds of clients across the USA and the Middle East and more recently the UK and Europe with its bespoke installation services and top level restoration.
Marble.it's founding director was born in 1970 in Liverpool, UK. After completing his education he undertook an apprenticeship in tiling the 3rd generation in his family to do so. Later Gerard decided to follow his passion for marble floor installation and restoration by moving to Long Beach, California, to work forhis uncle who had a leading company in the industry. He subsequently worked on architectural, commercial and domestic projects.
In 1990 Gerard began working for Magnifico, the stone Restoration and Installation Company, across 8 years progressing to installation manager. In 1998 he joined his brother in Dubai where he had a 14 year successful partnership in natural stone installation and restoration. Gerard was head consultant on numerous marble carpet projects around the Middle East and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Gerard's many long lasting work associates enable Marble.it to capitalise on the loyalty and quality of the worlds leading interior designers and specialists in natural stone.
Marble.it has its own design team led by our Head Graphic Designer who specialises in illustration and web design, and has personally overseen over 200 projects from consultation phase to finish. Her experience spans USA, UAE, Switzerland, Germany and UK.
We have our own team of craftsmen who specialise in high pressure water jet cutting and abrasive jet cutting technology to achieve industry leading standards of quality and finish. The techniques we use allow bespoke designs to be incorporated into our clients surfaces, whilst other methods of cutting with straight lines, the key advantage of the technologies we use is the ability to cut curves.
All our work is done by in house professionals employed by Marble.it, this ensures our high standards in service are controlled and maintained from within.
