DORIKA MARMARA S.A. was founded in 1987 in the city of Nafpaktos, as a natural stone trading company and factory. After ten years of successful operations, management decided to have physical presence in an area where large marble reserves were available, in order to secure raw materials for the future. That area was Drama, in the northern part of Greece, famous for the white marble in the surrounding mountains. Therefore, in 1997 a large factory was built in the Industrial Area of Drama to cover the growing demand for white marble and to serve the company’s plans for expansion and development. At the same time, the company started operations in white and semi-white marble quarries in order to supply raw materials to its 2 factories. After continuous development and investments, it has now become one of the leading producers and exporters of white marble in Greece.
DORIKA is a vertically integrated company, with privately owned quarries, 2 factories fully equipped with modern machinery and an extensive network for the supply of its products world-wide.
