In 1902, following on from the millennial experience and knowledge of the old stonemasons of Brač, Jadrankamen was founded as the successor to the stonecarvers' cooperatives.
Jadrankamen has continued to develop to the present day, combining a love for stone and the traditional craft of the stonemason with modern technology and equipment, constantly expanding its production and product lines while retaining its world-renowned quality.
High-quality blocks of white and semi-white marble are gathered from few quarries around Brač, and Split region.
Three modern cutting plants produce a wide range of standard products.
Because of its exceptional qualities, Brač marble is used in sculpture and fine architectural work, as well as in the reconstruction of historical buildings. The headquarters of Jadrankamen are in Pučišće, the heart of Croatian stonemasonry where even today you can find the only vocational high school for stonemasonry in this part of Europe.
