The Splitter is inserted in a pre-drilled hole of diameter 48-mm & depth 18 inch. The Hydraulic pressure of 450 to 500 bar (45 MPA) forces a center wedge between the two counter wedges pressing them apart with splitting force of 350 Ton. The force is further transferred to the walls of the hole in the rock and cracks the material in just seconds.
