Travertine Quarry Hydro-Bags

Hydro Bags are expanding steel cushions whose technological brilliance lies in their basic ability to move slabs or blocks of up to 1000 tons or more without the need to prepare slots to house the jacks.
Hydro Bags have a thickness of just 2mm and can easily be slipped into the diamond wire saw cut.
They consists of two sheets of high tensile steel welded together using the latest laser techniques.
Water is hydraulically pumped in at a pressure of 30-40 bar expanding them up to 25-30 cm resulting in a thrust force of up to 1000 tons.
By coupling two or more cushions side by side or combined together in packs it is possible to obtain greater displacement.
It must be pointed out that our Hydro Bags only use running water as an expansion fluid and not oil as with other hydraulic systems. It is for this reason that Hydro Bags are classified as environmentally friendly.
NB! Hydro Bags don’t require any maintenance for the simple reason that they are only used once.
To summarise, Hydro Bags are a simple, versatile and economical tool that have revolutionised the moving of quarry slabs.

Hydrobag is a pump for filling cushion with water, for borrow material excavation.

Hydro bag is composed by:

- pressure power unit Hydro bag with electric engine 5,5 Hp

- supported wheelbarrow and water reservoir

- safety and distribution valves

- aspiration and pressure pipes and aspiration filter

- Series of fast couplings - thrust up to 1000 tonnes, dilatation 25-30cm

- supply plug and engine - saver interrupter.

Cushions are available: CM 50x50, CM 80x80, CM 50X100, CM 100x100, CM 150x150.

Air Bag or Block Pusher is used to split granite or marble blocks from mountain .

THE HYDRO (WATER) BAG IS MANUFACTIRED FROM THE FINEST HIGH QUALITY TENSILE STEEL , HEREBY QUARANTEEING FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE .THE BAG IS INSERTED IN THE CRACK IN THE BLOCK AND IT SEPARATED THE BLOCK AS S0ON AS WATER IS INSERTED IN THE BAG WITH THE HELP OF THE WATER PUMP.

For every requirement, from quarry to the job site, to lift 200 tons with only 1/2 m3 of water. Small thickness of hydrobag allows the use in small cracks of only 10 mm. The reduced weight allows high hand transportability. To satisfy all lifting requirements it is also available in double or triple sheet.
