Is a fixed machine which performs the cutting of marble and granite blocks by means of a diamond wire. The wire is installed on a structure at a variable dimension, whilst the block, loaded on a trolley, is at a fixed dimension. MULTIWIRE N6860/60 TECHNICAL SHEET
The new Diamond wire cutting machine NDF 6870/60 is a multi-wire machine designed to produce boards and plates of varying thickness from the large blocks of marble and natural stone. This new unit represents the most modern technology in what refers to the primary sawing of the stone blocks, becoming the alternative to the traditionally used sawing methods, since it improves the production capacity quantitatively, efficiently taking advantage of the energy resources needed to the production of materials and significantly reducing the production costs of the cutting phase.

The multiple diamond wire cutter is a machine that stands out for its efficiency and high productivity, designed to obtain high yields, which is characterized by its great robustness, thanks to its particular design that forms a compact, balanced and balanced set where all movements are concentrated, and its proven reliability and that of the elements that compose it, being all designed to withstand the toughest working conditions.

The main structure of the machine is basically composed of two sturdy columns formed by two steel-welded steel structures, connected between them by an upper crossbar. On both columns the structure of the main frame that joins the two trolleycarriages is mounted, which move vertically supported on both columns on linear guides with linear roller recirculation skates and actuated by a pair of spindles rolled with recirculating nuts balls, synchronized and operated by two motor-reducers with independent servo motors for the ascent / descent of the threads with a smooth and precise movement, located in the upper part of both columns, the entire guide assembly is perfectly protected by PVC bellows . The servomotors are synchronized by software in the vertical movements that ensure smooth cutting, low consumption and maximum precision and avoid the slacks and problems of the central motorization with transmission and forwarding.

The Ø1800 drive drum is formed by a single multi-channel pulley with grooves and connected to the main motor by a pulley and timing belt transmission. The threads are manually positioned according to the desired thickness supported by one side of the machine on the drive drum, and in turn are tensioned from the opposite end by autonomous pulleys. The diamond wires are also guided by two multichannel drums that help to significantly reduce the arrow produced by them. From the opposite end to the driving drum, the diamond wires are supported by the set of idle pulleys, designed with a particular pivoting extraction system, which allows reducing maintenance times significantly.

Once the wires are located, these are adjusted with the active tensioning device that acts individually on each of the tensioning pulleys, independently ensuring that each of the threads has the same tension regardless of the minimum differences in length between each of the threads that are installed in the machine. The tensioning system manages to increase the useful life of the wires and therefore the profitability of the machine

The multiple diamond wire cutter is a multi-wire cutter designed to produce slabs, boards and slabs of varying thickness from the large blocks of marble and natural stone. In summary, the coefficient resulting from the equivalent energy consumption in Kw / m2 of a multi-wire cutter compared to the loom is greater than 50% savings, even considering that the total installed power of a multi-wire cutter is greater than that of a traditional loom.
The Multiple Diamond Wire Cutter is the alternative to the primary sawing methods currently used, improving the production capacity quantitatively, efficiently taking advantage of the energy resources necessary for the production of materials and significantly reducing waste produced during the cutting phase.
Comparatively, the advantages of using this new technology applied to the multiwire cutter are obvious. The multi-wire cutter can cut any type of stone material in front of looms that only cut granites or marble, but these are two different models and that use different tools, the looms are only profitable when cutting 2-3 cm sheets of thickness, but its biggest disadvantage is in the energy consumption and the very high production of solid waste, since the water used is recovered in all cases, this waste apart from assuming a higher purification cost, presents a problem of environmental pollution in case of the looms because it contains iron, and the lime that alters the acidity of the waters, in addition to the moment it is not possible to separate or recover at this stage of the process. There is an important difference compared to traditional cutters, which is based on the cutting height, with a disc we can cut 1.50 meters in front of the diamond wire that any commercial block can cut, apart from the great productive difference that exists
The water treatment and purification process for this new process is therefore more economical and less complex.
It is also worth noting that the water needs, while being similar, with respect to the traditional loom, the diamond wire cutting practically cancels the need to wash the load after sawing, this being much less demanding and both the needs and Water losses during the cutting process are lower.

With respect to consumables, say that in the multi-thread cutter there is only one; the diamond wire, small volume, easy storage and simple supply. In addition, in the case of renewal or replacement of the machine, the loom forces the new implantation to be exactly the same model as the previous one, while in the case of the multi-threaded cutter there is a high degree of possibilities of being able to make an adaptation of the existing civil works. In any important case, that is, the space occupied by the multiwire is less.
The simplicity of the multiwire is significantly greater, both in installation, use and handling, as well as in maintenance, both mechanically and electrically. It is important to note that the NDF-6870/60 multi-wire cutter does not use the common solution for vertical movement consisting of a central motor with reducer, transmissions and angular forwarding. This is replaced by two independent and electronically synchronized servomotors without coupling between them. This solution, in effect, cancels the inconveniences of the classic mechanical transmissions, the clearances and possible breaks due to wear and fatigue, and also allows us greater flexibility in the movements to be carried out. In this regard, it should be noted that the system is capable of working atspeeds as slow as one millimetre per minute, as at the fastest of almost one meter per minute, all without loss of power or precision in movement.
As a practical effect, the NDF-6870/60 cutter is the fastest machine on the market capable of performing a vertical ascent movement against any contingency, avoiding the undesirable marks of diamond wire in the stone.
The surface of the final product serrated with the diamond wire, in addition to the fact that it does not need to be practically washed, much less the use of harmful acids or chemicals and dangerous handling, offers the important advantage that its surface state can be assimilated to a certain jaded In the event that the material must be subsequently polished, a certain reduction in the costs associated with the abrasives used in the polishing process and the consequent reduction in production times should be noted.

Why should our cutter be bought?
The use of diamond wire in the primary sawing work has been used in the sector for not many years, and said wire is applied on known machines, normally formed by two pulleys on which a wire is installed forming a closed loop with which the cuts are made on the stone blocks.

The WIRE SAW is manufactured in 3 different versions (stationary, gantry on rails and dual i.e. stationary + gantry). The machine has been conceived for block cutting and squaring off thick slabs of sandstone, marble and granite.
The strong steel frame has been designed to ensure very high rigidity levels and precision during all the cutting phases. It is composed of two steel columns linked together by a steady connecting beam and two aluminium large size flywheel (Ø2150mm) reducing the diamond wire fatigue and also helping the wire spinning around its own axis, preventing its ovalization. The two flywheels move up and down on two columns thanks to 8 linear guides, granting the absence of vibrations, and maximising stability and unmistakable precision during the cutting phases.
The driving flywheel is powered by an 18.5kW asynchronous motor and its groups are moved by a screw & nut system that is driven by a brushless motor which is controlled by a drive that adjusts the working downfeed according to the diamond wire bow.

The Two-Wires Saw Machine of Grani Roc is designed for a high slabbing production from stone blocks. The machine has the classic setup of static structure with moving trolley and has an automatic system for changing the thickness between wires. This system makes the machine being very versatile and time saving in changing the thickness of each cut.
·The bridge structure and pillars of the machine are built in laminated steel. All surfaces of contact between the different parts are machined for guaranteeing high precision in assembly and also in the cutting process.
· All the steel elements of the structure are subjected to a surface finishing consisting of a deep cleaning and degreasing treatment, a metallization treatment and corresponding protective layers and painting. These treatments enhance the durability of the machine against aggressive weather and working conditions.
· The main motor is direct in the main pulley, and it is controlled by an electronic frequency variator –inverter-, that permits to apply progressive linear speed to the wire and its adjustment to optimize the behaviour and performance of the tool.
· The tensioning of the wire is made pneumatic and automatically and independent for each wire, with indication of wire breakage or shortage.
· The machine has an automatic system for adjusting the distance between wires, instead of having manual devices or having to remove all the wheels manually for changing the thickness of the slabs to be cut.
· All the main pulleys –drive and tensioning– and guiding wheels are protected by rubber liners in order to get the necessary traction of the wire. Such liners can be easily changed once they are worn out.
· The machine is equipped with an automatic cooling system for the diamond wire with detection of constant water pressure. This system stops the machine in the case of lack or insufficient water flow, protecting the tool and preventing possible deterioration or damage of the equipment.
· All the up and down screws are protected with hoods against dust and water.
· The machines has an automatic greasing system that injects lubricating liquid in the critical parts of the machine ensuring their correct functioning and the long life of the spare parts.
· The control panel is situated in the lateral part of the machine and moves with it. It has all the drive and protection components and devices of all control and safety equipment of the machine. All these components are standard, allowing easy and quick maintenance and / or replacement.
· The machine has its own mobile compressor, necessary for the pneumatic system for tensioning the wire.
· The trolley is 2.300 x 2.300 mm and has a maximum capacity of 30 Ton. The rotation is manual 360º and can be blocked every 90º.

The Two-Wires Saw Machine of Grani Roc is designed for a high slabbing production from stone blocks. The machine is mobile and has an automatic system for thickness changing. These characteristics make the machine being very versatile and time saving in loading and unloading operations as well as changing the thickness of each cut. In this machine the user can input up to 10 different measurements for the thickness of the slabs and the machine will move automatically the wires and also will adapt the movement of the trolley to obtain the desired cuts.

The multiwire machine of BM, the KODIAK EVOLUTION, is suitable for cutting granite blocks into slabs of various thickness. The single line cutting system is a machine designed to cut rectangular blocks or granite slabs into large slab thicknesses. The device consists of a supporting structure with two flywheels, 2500 mm in diameter, which move the diamond wire for cutting. The speed of the wheels, and therefore of the rope, is variable and controlled by an inverter. The downward movement of the rope takes place by means of two roller carriages that move along a square column. This type of system allows high stiffness and, at the same time, very good smoothness. The rope tension is hydraulically regulated at constant pressure. The device can be equipped with fixed or rotating trolleys. They are always driven by a geared motor, controlled by an inverter and an encoder for precise positioning of the trolley.

The main structure of the machine is basically made up of two robust columns made up of mechano-welded steel structures, connected to each other by an upper crossbar. Multiwire saw with a big multi-groove drum (2.35 mt diameter) on the motor side and twenty big independent tensioning flywheels (2 mt in diameter), each tensioned by the patented Multipull system to manage at best the cutting conditions and optimize the life of the diamond wires. The plant is complete with a multi-groove guide drum (0.6 mt diameter) on the tensioning side to ensure further cutting precision. The motor drum, the tensioning flywheels and the guide drum are covered with replaceable multi-groove bands. A robust structure, composed by two rectangular section vertical columns, having high resistance to bending and torsion, grants high rigidity and maximum precision. The typical thicknesses of the slabs can be adjusted quickly without moving the flywheels. A special automatic comb device prevents any slabs movements during the cutting operations, avoiding their breakage and facilitating the exit of the wires after each cut. The control panel includes a PLC that controls the block trolley displacement after each cut, allowing an automatic sequence of cutting cycles.

A unique and patented feature of the POLYONE series consists of a special wire winding geometry that allows two cuts in the block for each diamond wire. With the POLYONE 20 version it is therefore possible to obtain 20 cuts in the block with 10 wires to realize 1 cm thicknesses, 14 cuts of 2 cm with 7 wires, and 10 cuts of 3 cm with 5 wires.
