THIBAUT used all its know-how for the conception of this machine, as well as its knowledge of polishing techniques. The result is an extremely sturdy machine, with a bridge and a vertical carriage in cast iron put on a runway using real train rails (Very High-Speed Train), carefully calibrated. Choosing a T558 flat polisher is choosing the sturdiest machine of its category, able to achieve an excellent polishing quality, and for a long time.
A complete working autonomy
With its tool magazine, the T558 changes automatically of milling and polishing heads and can realise operations after operations completely automatically. It could be milling, polishing, plastering, edges polishing..., all these operations can be made without intervention nor stoppages. Concaves or convexes panels can be polished too, thanks to specific equipment.
Easy programming
The T558 is very easy to program and use, thanks to a friendly interface. The machine is delivered with built-in parameters, that are adjusted during the commissioning. Optional, the program for irregular shapes gives you the possibility to take into account the real shape of the pieces to work on, and so to save a lot of time (the head does not work on a basic rectangular shape but follows the real piece shape). Optional too, you can program the position and the size of eventual openings (in case of concrete panels).

Automatic multi-spindle belt polishing machines for the execution of round and flat edges on any type of material (marble, granite, composite and cement agglomerates). The range of GMM edge polishing machines includes horizontal and vertical machines able to process thicknesses from 4.5 up to 100 mm. The shaping of the profiles is performed with universal abrasive wheels (avoiding the use of expensive shaped wheels). The machine management is entrusted to an electronic control of the latest generation (operating in 4.0 ready logic) supported by a SW entirely developed by GMM to ensure an easy and intuitive use to the operators. The oscillating bar (which supports the hydraulic motors with the abrasives for polishing) of the Toro bull-nosing machine, is driven by 2 brushless motors in order to guarantee high precision and best quality of the profile. All surfaces are treated with sandblasting, cold galvanizing primer and two-component painting. All the carters are in fiberglass or stainless steel.
FEATURES
MACHINE BED
Strong electroweld, fully worked with numeric control machines. Sanding followed by a cold-galvanized treatment and two successive coats of dual component epoxy paint.
BELT
Three-layer, 30 cm wide belt has a grooved guide on the base to guarantee the maximum adherence of the belt to the line to be worked. Belt gliding surface is ground and covered with a special interchangeable wear-resistant steel plate.
SPINDLES
Standard: identical on all work units. Fitted with a bellows for slide protection and having a double labyrinth seal to protect from water, moisture and dust. To further guarantee the seal, there is a slight internal pressure.
SPINDLE-HOLDER BAR
Polishes the edges, using universal tools. The spindles, each one controlled by its own electric motor (protection IP65), are housed in a sturdy sealed bar which empties the water directly into the tank. The computerized system allows programming by inverter a microoscillation (“swing”) above all on straight, thick fl at edges to increase the work speed and improve the degree of polishing. The abrasive discs used are 130 or 150 mm in diameter.
BEVELLERS
Mounted in opposition at 45° angles, they make a double bevel on the straight edge using a 130 mm diameter abrasive disc. The first pair of bevels has a mechanical stop for the use of diamond tools.
TOUCH SCREEN
Allow to manage all the functions of the machine. In particular it is possible to program the entrance and the exit of each unit to ensure quality and precision on all specific working. Are allowed the partial workings (Optional).
ROLLERS
The machine is equipped with two, 1-meter rollers, one at the entrance and one at the exit, respectively. Each roller is equipped with side rails to prevent the piece from tipping.
TANKS
The machine is equipped with several stainless steel water collection tanks to maintain proper functioning and the duration of individual components.
GUARDS
The external casings are in sturdy fibreglass while the pressing bar and the single unit guards are in stainless steel.

BODY

SPINDLES

BEVELS
They make the double bevel on the straight edge. They are mounted at 45°. The two fi rst (up and down) have the possibility to use diamond tools and to reach a fi x position driven by the computerized system to obtain the perfect required bevel. Their entry and exit on the material is programmable regardless of the work on the straight edge.
CALIBRATORS, DRIP CUT, MULTI-FUNCTIONAL UNIT
Can be placed at the entry and exit of the machine. With various configurations, they allow to work with the axis in vertical position, inclined and horizontal. On these units we can install levigating heads, profiling tools, bush hammering unit, discs for cutting. In order to work properly, they have double speed motors.
OSCILLATING BAR
Allows to perform and polish the chosen profile using universal tools. The bar, made in strong aluminium casting, is made to oscillate by means of a double reducer and lever moved by two brushless motors.
The spindles which are governed by separate hydraulic motors have various speeds from 2200 rev/min to 1000 rev/min, starting from the universal diamond tool up to the last polishing grain.
The computerized system allows programming a micro-oscillation (“swing”) on straight edges or on fl at inclined profiles.
PROGRAMMING
With its 8” touch screen it is possible to do all the works necessary in a very simple and quick manner. By setting the profile and the thickness the machine positions all the heads automatically eliminating huge time wasting procedures, previously done manually.
In less than a minute the machine can be changed from one work to another. It is possible to program each single head to optimize the entry on the piece to be worked or to execute partial work on bull-nose or fl at profiles. It is possible to carry out analysis and statistics regarding the times and quantities produced, as well as processing quotes. Also it is possible to memorize all the parameters used to produce a certain piece and recall this data when necessary.

Is positioned on the machine.
PROTECTIONS
The covers are all in heavy duty fi berglass on the front side of the machines and in stainless steel on all single units. All the spindles have pressure gauge and seperate pressure regulation and can be excluded or work in semi or fully automatic mode. Particular attention has been paid to the shape of the machine in order for it to be easy for normal maintenance work and change of tooling.

BEVELS
They make the double bevel on the straight edge. They are mounted at 45°. The two fi rst (up and down) have the possibility to use diamond tools and to reach a fi x position driven by the computerized system to obtain the perfect required bevel. Their entry and exit on the material is programmable regardless of the work on the straight edge.
CALIBRATORS, DRIP CUT, MULTI-FUNCTIONAL UNITS
Can be placed at the entry and exit of the machine. With various configurations, they allow to work with the axis in vertical position, inclined and horizontal. On these units we can install levigating heads, profiling tools, bush hammering unit, discs for cutting. In order to work properly we have motors with double speed.
BAR WITH MICRO OSCILLATING "BRANDEGGIO"
Allows to polish the edge using universal tools. The spindles all run with separate motors and are placed in a strong aluminium casting bar. A computerized system allows to program the micro-oscillating on the straight edges with large thickness.
TOUCH SCREEN
Electronics of the latest generation which allow simple and intuitive automatic programming the intervention of each units, also partial. Setting out of the thickness of the work piece there's the automatic positioning of: pressing bar and calibrator. The opening of the water and the start up of all electric motors is driven in automatic by the material arrival. This allow an important energy saving. It is possible to carry out analysis and statistics regarding the times and quantities produced, as well as processing quotes. Also it is possible to memorize all the parameters used to produce a certain piece and recall this data when necessary.

PROTECTIONS
The covers are all in heavy duty fiberglass on the front side of the machines and in stainless steel on all single units. All the spindles have pressure gauge and separate pressure regulation.

With the VIVa 220 Montresor presents a new completely automatic machine for mitering: a double 45° cut to obtain two polished slab pieces to be glued together at 90°.
The patented V-groove unit consists of 2+2 opposing blades working at 45°. The blades cut the slab leaving 0,2-0,8 mm of uncut material on the polished side of the slab.
The complete operation is controlled by PLC, and the operator has only to set the cutting position which will establish the size of the frontal part to be glued, until a maximum of 220 mm.
The positioning of the discs is completely automatic.
