It takes a great deal of experience to make tiles from slabs or natural flat face stone. This is why the Broadway machines are designed to split wide and very thin materials, with a specialist internal moving frame, giving a precision split edge each time.
Another notable difference that makes these splitters more suitable for this type of application is the pressure of the lower blade on the stone without the movement of the working table. This greatly improves split quality and reduces waste.
These machines are designed to split all types of stones and are particularly suitable for the production of slab paving and flat finished products. With their long blade large pieces of stone can be worked with precision.
BROADWAY SHERPA 600 2C SEMI- AUTOMATIC STONE SPLITTING LINE
Steinex semi-automatic Splitting line designed for natural stone with a sawn surface for splitting products of small to medium dimensions. This line is equipped with 2 splitting cylinders, lower and upper, to maximize the quality of the split.
The blade length is 600 mm with a maximum split height of 320 mm and the machine is supplied with a high performance, low maintenance hydraulic unit and once again Steinex continues offering incredible efficiency, with the line using approximately a maximum of 5kW of power.

The Broadway 600 splitting machine is the smallest Broadway model, designed to be portable and as a general-purpose machine for the production of most split products from regular or sawn stone and concrete. Worktable and undertable:
Seasoned cast iron made with inner stiffening ribs to grant maximum rigidity. Cast iron supports are assembled on the worktable and are provided with wheels sliding on protected ground ways. The cast iron ways are supplied with steel guard to avoid water and mud infiltration.
Worktable control:

These resilient machines are used to split both raw material and sawn slabs. The non-sawn stone includes stone quarried in blocks or very irregular natural stone quarried using explosives. The Menhir machines are equipped with high levels of adaption in the blade system and designed with a pivoting blade head to make splitting such irregular material efficient, giving a high quality split surface finish and leaving minimal waste. Each machine is equipped with a highly efficient low noise hydraulic and power unit. Wind Star is the Steinex range of splitting machinery used in automatic splitting lines for splitting sawn stone and concrete.
In addition to the traditional upper and lower blades, Wind Star splitting machines are equipped with lateral or side blades. This four-blade system permits splitting pressure to be exerted to all four principal stone faces resulting in a straighter split or profile
With certain types of stone, using this technology it is possible to produce very thin cladding and tiles with a straight profile not normally achievable with traditional upper and lower blade systems
Additionally, Wind Star machines have a special internal frame, raising the lower blade so it makes direct contact with the bottom stone surface and is not impeded by any part of the machinery, optimizing the accuracy of the split.
