    STURDINESS

The structure of the monobloc steel frame gives the machine a considerable rigidity. The brush-holding spindles are lodged inside cast-iron housings and are singularly controlled by a pair of pneumatic pistons to insure their smooth raise/lower.

    LONG WORKING AUTONOMY

The 3 stainless steel wax reservoirs, equipped with level gauges, have a full 3.5 lt. capacity each, guaranteeing a working autonomy of around 180/350 m2 of granite slabs. The 3 reservoirs can be filled with different waxes as they work independently.

    USER-FRIENDLINESS

The machine does not require any particular control: it is sufficient to adjust the width of the slabs under working and set the timers that control the wax metering.

The wax reservoirs are mounted in a frontal position, easily accessible to the operator for topping off operations.

    Structure and spindles

The support structure consists of an arc-welded steel monobloc to be fixed to the floor, with no need of civil works. The beam mounting four brush holding spindles runs on guides machined on the support structure, and is actuated by an inverter controlled self-braking gearmotor. The four brush holding spindles consist of a heavy-duty cast iron casing inside which slides a suitably lubricated rotating shaft, which is lifted/lowered by means of a pair of pistons with constantly protected stylus. The centralized lubricating points are conveniently located for the operator, on the front part of each spindle.

    Control panel

The control panel is fixed to a movable, ergonomic, suspended arm and includes a 5,7-inch colour graphic touch-screen with button control for the machine control and programming.

    Accurate distribution of the wax

The machine is equipped with three vessels containing the wax, which are positioned at the machine front for easy inspection.

The wax spraying cycles and the position of wax sprayers are coordinated with the position of each single brush in order to guarantee the perfect waxing of the slab whole surface.

Each spindle holds a brush with bristles coming in different consistencies, diameter and rotation speed so as to spread and polish the wax perfectly.

The wax feeding duct is automatically cleaned at programmed intervals by means of an air flow thus preventing any possible residue of wax.

The last three spindles polish to perfection the wax that the first waxing spindle has applied to the slab.

    Slab profile reading

The slab profile reader provided with through-beam photoelectric barrier for the automatic adjustment of the beam travel and the automatic spindle lifting/lowering is positioned at the front of the machine.

    Wax dosage

The precise wax batching system combined with an efficient programming software enable to minimize wax consumption. The solenoid valve for wax batching is directly mounted on the spindle axis, therefore the wax path is remarkably shortened and dosage is performed with great precision.

    Machinery Function Features:

Automatic machine for the waxing operation on marble, granite and similar stones slabs. A robust frame supports the movable beam and the wax distributor. Beam stroke, that adjusts automatically in relationship to slabs width, is driven through two pinion- rack synchronized systems with inverter adjusted speed. The spindles, equipped with rotating brushes are assembled onto movable beam.
Automatic machine for the application of protecting products on the surface of marble, granite and similar stones slabs and strips.
The products, such as waxes or protecting liquids, are dosed and directly applied on the material surface, uniformly distributed by means of a series of rotating brushes.
The waxing machine is normally included in a continuous cycle automatic line placed after the material polishing and drying.
The waxing machine M242 is manufactured in the following configurations:
    • With 4 or 6 spindles to process slabs up to 2200 mm width;
    • With 3 spindles to process strips up to 650 mm width.
The waxing machine M242 is composed of a sturdy bridge structure which supports the mobile beam housing the spindles which drive the rotating brushes.
The bridge structure allows to install the machine on a motorized roller bench, already existing or to be separately supplied as well.
All parts have undergone structural checks following the FEM (Finite Element Method) and their precision ensures perfect machine geometry and correct assembly on site.
The machine surface is protected with a three-layer paint cycle applied after the sandblasting operation.
A suitable fiberglass door, which can be opened upwards, allows the machine access for maintenance and, at the same time, it acts as a locking and safety system to prevent accidental opening.
The beam translation movement is driven by two pinion/rack synchronized systems with inverter-controlled speed and is automatically adjusted according to the slabs width.
The spindles, with automatic up and down movement and pneumatic driving, are equipped with interchangeable rotating brushes and mounted onto the mobile beam.
The product distribution on the surface is performed through a pump fixed on the machine structure which, by means of a proper pipe, directly draws from the product container.
The general electric panel is mounted on the rear machine structure and is protected against dust and water in compliance with IP 54 standard (EN 60529).
The main control panel is placed on the front of the machine and includes a touch-screen PLC for the automatism management.
Each single spindle is equipped with an auxiliary control panel with exclusion switch and working pneumatic pression adjustment.
The waxing machine M242 is manufactured in the version for the processing of strips or of elements up to 650 mm width as well. The material transport is performed through a motorized belt equipped with adjustable guides to keep the material in the centre
