    Ares oven by Xilex dries water instantly both inside and on the surface of the stone slabs. This oven is intended for drying process on natural stone (marble and granite), artificial stone (quartz and cristobalite) and porcelain tile.
    Unlike conventional kilns, Ares effectively removes moisture by drying all cracks and holes so that the material is prepared for optimal filtering and resin adhesion in the next step on the production line.
    In addition, Ares is an instant oven since it performs an effective drying in just 2-3 minutes, a very short time in comparing to the drying of 30-60 minutes that conventional ovens require. The instant drying allows a quick manipulation of the slabs so the productivity increases up to 20% depending on the process.
    Ares is installed without the typical foundations of conventional systems, does not require the additional use of metal trays and does not require high maintenance costs, so the purchase and installation of the Ares oven by Xilex is 40% cheaper than the acquisition of a conventional system.
    Great energy savings in drying of marble and granite
    The great profitability of Ares is related, in addition to optimizing time, with a significant decrease in power consumption. Ares efficiency represents a 15% saving in energy expenditure compared to conventional drying systems. This decrease in energy consumption is mainly due to three factors:
    Instant start with 100% efficiency. This is a great added value compared to conventional systems, which require one hour of preheating.
    Adaptation of power to the material. Ares automatically adapts to the material’s drying needs, adjusting the power required for each piece. Conventional lines, on the other hand, perform linear power consumption.
    Power on when detection of slabs. Ares only lights up when it detects the presence of slabs, unlike conventional lines that remain on whether there are slabs or not.
    Quick and easy adaptation of the Ares oven to the production line
    Ares oven is easily installed on the production line and adapts to any transport system without additional investment thanks to its practical size (2500mm x 2500mm), compared to a conventional accumulator (7000x2500x6000mm).
    It is also important to note that Ares allows slabs to be dried directly from the block cutter or multiwire since the machine can be installed on the existing transport line without the need for any works or foundations, furthermore, its installation does not even require stopping production.

    WORKING CYCLE
    The GALILEO processing system is divided into two
    separate phases:
    1. THE SCANNING PHASE during which a 3D model of the slab is made. This makes it possible to detect with extreme accuracy the thickness at every point, the perimeter of the slab and the presence of hollow spots classified according to suitable criteria in order to then retouch them where necessary.
    2. THE STAGE OF APPLICATION OF THE RESIN AND SUCCESSIVE RITOUCH WORK IF NECESSARY is done by an anthropomorphic robot by an anthropomorphic robot that receives all the trajectories for applying the resin and the location/characteristics of the fractures to be restored from the scanning machine.

    Kronos is the Xilex machine that allows total control of the filtering and adhesión process to obtain top quality finishes. It is an oven for epoxy, polyester and polyurethane (PUR) resin curing that accelerates the activation and consolidation of chemical properties in marbles, granites and other more delicate types of natural stone such as onyx or alabaster.
    Kronos oven differs from conventional machines in that it performs greater filtration and adhesion of resins, and it allows to produce controlled effects on the surface finish (brightness, light and dark tones, etc.) with a production of up to 30 tables at hour.

    Leonardo represents an innovative resin plant to dry and oven cure the stone slabs and strips (marble and granite), offering the best solution to the companies interested in low consumption, low space occupied and high quality working.
    Leonardo allows to realize the same treatment process and working conditions of the bigger resin lines but with a reduced level of investment.
    The storehouse has been designed in two different versions of 21 and 30 slabs storage capacity that allow a max production capacity of 7 and 10 slabs per hour respectively.
    A tilting cart allows the loading of slabs directly onto the trays. The tray with slab is inserted in the drying oven by means of an elevator.
    Once the slab has been dried the lifter extracts and transfers it on a special mobile working bench, reachable on his four sides by the operator.
    On this bench the dried slab is “buttered” with resin and then transferred to the oven-curing store.
    When the curing time is passed the slab on trays is extracted by the elevator and sent to the cart which provide the downloading.

    Machinery Function Features:

    A deep material drying before the resin application is fundamental.
    The process requires about 20-40 minutes to dry interior moisture according to the type of material and the set temperature.
    Drying and pre-heating oven must have a dual action: dry moisture from the slabs and then heat them up to the suitable temperature for resining (40÷45°C).
    Resinline plants use two types of ovens for the material drying and pre-heating:
    . Tunnel of Wind, exclusive tunnel system.
    . Drying Towers, multilevel ovens.
    They both include the warm air recirculation.
    The longitudinal tunnel drying system is composed of an insulated gallery with insulating panels, where the slabs enter from one side and exit from the opposite side.
    The tunnel length is determined according to the quantity of slabs to be processed.
    The warm air flows opposite to the material direction, heats the slab so that the moisture is first moved away and then totally dried during its passage into a heating exchanger, properly placed outside the tunnel.
    The supports with the slabs move along the tunnel through a horizontal chain handling system, while two elevators placed at both ends transfer them upstairs.
    The heating unit can be powered electrically, by methane or by LPG.

    By using Hrvp Extended is guaranteed the resin percolation into all fractures connected to the external block surface. This operation gives the best solution to get a block that can be cut even if the material was fragile or really fractured.
    There are now two treatments with a new phase:
    Block washing: by means of a high pressure hydraulic nozzle utilized by an operator
    Dry of blocks: by means of drying chamber heated by means of gas or electric hot air generators
    Preparation of block to be hardened: to be realized in the apposite area. It is a completely manual operation developed by means of material provided in the supply (bridge crane excluded)

    Pressurization on the hardened block (with the Hrvp Extended system only): to do inside the surge tank of the plant line just after the injection of resin. The special pressuring cycle makes resin deep penetrating inside all fractures of the block, completely reinforcing and improving it
    Catalysis of reinforced block: once the blocks have been reinforced and hardened they are placed inside hardening chambers that previously have been heated by means of electric or gas generator until the resin becomes hard
    CHARACTERISTICS RESINS
    We use bi-component epoxy resins studied properly for the HRVP process. The special formulations produced change according to the material of the block to be worked and to its fractures.
    The plant sale contract includes the resins supply for a period to be established during the negotiations.

    APP - POLYMER APPLICATOR FOR SLAB POLISHING LINES

    The Polymer Applicator (APP) is a cost efficient and environmentally sustainable method for protecting polished surfaces of slabs when they are stacked in “packs” and when being handled and moved.

    WHAT IS BRETON APP?

    Breton APP is a specific system mounted just before the automatic slab discharge unit at the end of the polishing line. It is designed to apply dots or lines of a thermoplastic polymer.

    The number, the interval between dots/lines and form can be programmed to specific requirements. This polymer has been developed and formulated to protect the polished surface of slabs when they are stacked in “packs” in the warehouse and when being handled.

    APP is an alternative system to the conventional polythene film offering the advantage of not having to deal with waste treatment and relative costs.

    The polymer is purchased in granules in drums of 25 kg.

    The granules are heat melted in the purpose container (1) and the melted polymer is conveyed along the heated piping (2) to the extruder gun which is also heated (3) and moves transversally.

    The extruder gun, depending on the form programmed, deposits dots or lines of melted polymer on the polished surface of the slab. The polymer instantly cools down and solidifies when it comes into contact with the cold slab and remains bonded to the surface.

    Monobloc support structure made of painted arc-welded steel; the structure includes the two transversal runways for the independent sliding of the two spindle-holding carts.

    Two (2) plate-holding spindles (each plate is equipped with 6 palette knives which can be easily replaced), powered by inverter-controlled gearmotor for the adjustment of the rotation speed. Spindles are actuated vertically by a pneumatic cylinder.

    Set of panels conforming to the EC standards, which close entirely the machine. They can be manually openable sliding on the operator' side, and are used to contain the gas emissions. Panels are provided with a fan, installed behind the machine, that intakes air and expels it outside (the stack is not included in the supply).

    Double tower oven line type HTR-B is suitable for large production of 20-30 slabs/h with capacity 30 and 45 slabs with two separate towers & a single elevator each, to drive the trays in the tower.
