Is Porphyry available in large slabs?

Porphyry is not available in large slabs; it may be possible to find porphyry slab in small sizes, but they are mostly cut in the small tiles, and mostly used as floor covering material (cobble stone/pavers) in outdoor areas.

Yes, it is definitely good material for paving stone/cobbles/kerbs, etc. Porphyry has an even yet rough surface, and due to the hardness of the minerals it contains, Porphyry pavers do not become smooth from wear or slippery when wet.
