Simplicity and Functionality: Breton diamond wire saws have a strong and functional, heat-treated, steel frame, which guarantees the necessary rigidity in the system and the greatest cutting accuracy. The painting process guarantees high resistance to corrosion. The surfaces to be painted are first sand blasted in preparation for painting, then painted with zinc-based epoxy primer and followed by a bi-component paint. Frestag is the CAM suitable for 3-axes stone-working centres and more in general for the stone industry. The non-interpolated lathe machining is supported as well.
Focusing on the user-friendly aspect, it does not need particular IT skills and can been used from all the operators indistinctly. The user interface (UI) acts as a wizard, leading the user during the processing steps and reducing the probability of making errors during the programming phase.
DRAWING AND DESIGNING
Starting with the 2D entities of Logotag it is possible to reproduce:

Depending on the piece to reproduce, the users select the entities from the X-Y plane of the drawing (TAG, DWG, DXF) to import for Frestag.

Breton Multicut is a programmable multi-spindle automatic saw with a revolving worktable and is designed for cutting both natural and engineered stone slabs to any required size.
Breton Multicut is designed and developed to offer high-production and cutting performance combined with improved operational flexibility and a sophisticated and advanced slab optimisation system.
The work cycle - longitudinal cuts, work-table rotation, transversal cuts - is fully automatic and computer managed. Slab loading and product unloading operations can be automated to meet specific requirements. Precise and accurate cutting. The work cycles are programmed on the machine monitor and can be stored and then recalled whenever required. Depending on slab thickness, the slab can be cut in plunge-cut or step-cut mode. The “scanner” system scans the shape of the slab and records surface defects, and a special software elaborates and defines the best cutting cycle based on the slabs available and work orders programmed in the system. The result is maximum production optimisation.
Slab surface optimisation system
Breton Multicut can in real time optimise slab surface by automatically selecting the most appropriate cutting cycle to process the work orders previously programmed in the computer system which controls and manages the production line.
When slabs are fed-into Breton Multicut, a scanner scans the shape and size of the slabs and the operator can mark out any defects, holes or cracks in the surface. Based on the information transmitted by the scanner and on the programmed work orders, a purposely developed software manages the machines and equipment forming the production line simultaneously. This software can also receive work orders through a local access network from the office PC. The work order can include diverse formats of tiles which are identified in the order utilising just the measurements for length and width. For each format the required quantity is defined and is automatically updated based on the number of cutting cycles for each slab processed until the order is completed. Slab cutting, based on the information received from the scanner, is optimised to reduce waste. Even slabs with surface defects such as holes, stains, marks etc. are optimised using this system. The scanner records the defects of the slabs and
sends prompts to the software only if the defects have been previously marked out by the operator who simply positions over the defect (whether it is a hole, stain, crack etc…) a piece of non-reflecting matt material (e.g. standard household carpet). When the slab passes under the scanner, the scanner
reads the covered areas as if part of the slab is missing identifying these zones as part/s of the slab which cannot be utilised in production. Prompts are then sent to the main system PC and the software elaborates the information and defines the best cycle to optimise production. The operator removes the material used to cover the defects which can be reused or thrown away. The information is then graphically displayed on the monitor indicating the percentage of material processed. And the waste produced….. There are several cutting and optimisation options: For sawing strips (longitudinal or transversal or mixed) the system will automatically standardize the cutting pattern so as to reduce the machine’s cycle time for very complex cutting patterns. This function brings together, where possible, strips having the same cuts so that they can be sawn in a single work cycle.

A solid and precise wet saw, available with manual advancement of the cutting head (by means of a flywheel on the right hand side of the machine) – model “AV” – or motorized (with inverter for regulating the speed of advancement) – model “AA”. Unlike the basic versions (ITC – ITC AL – ITC ST) the operator remains stationary, without having to move with the head during cutting.
The head runs on chrome-plated guides straightened by means of linear recirculating bearings with anti-dust protection. Manual inclination of the bridge for cuts from 90° to 45°. Adjustment of the depth of the cut is with a flywheel set above the motor unit. They are designed to work with blades of Ø300 Ø350 Ø400 and Ø450 mm. Available in single-phase or three-phase version.
Sawing-machine equipped with a cooling system for the cutting disc: a pump for the circulation of water, positioned within the collection tank, allows water to flow onto the disc for cooling. The tank, in sheet metal, is completely welded to structural reinforcements that guarantee maximum resistance to torsion/bending. The tank is emptied by opening the draining cap.

Machinery Function Features:
Semi-automatic machine to cut both length ways (X axis) and cross ways (Y axis). The cutting head is driven by means of an electronic program card and the cutting head speed is driven by inverter. Turning and inclination of the head is manual, from 0 to 90 degree by means of a handwheel. The machine is equipped with marine ply wooden cutting bench, step cutting facility, control panel with push buttons to drive the cutting head movement and display visualizing the cutting speed.
