The Moschous family has been in the marble trade and quarrying business since the late 1800’s. It all started when George Moschous left the island of Karpathos and came in Athens to work in the marble industry. His business grew fast, and in a short period of time he owned quarries in Penteli.
The first large scale projects he was involved are the construction of the “Isthmus of Korinth”, the “Panathinaikon stadium” and the reconstruction of the “Parthenon”.
Ever since; his sons, grand sons and great grand sons have continued through time and have established a long and proud tradition in marble quarrying and marble trade. They have exploited quarries in “Penteli”, “Kapandriti”, “Kozani”, “Thassos”, “Veria” and other places in Greece, and have participated in many projects where quality is of great importance.
The knowledge acquired by the followers of this tradition, combined with the skill and zeal for the utilization of marble, has established their business as one of the most successful in Greece.
The once one-person business that was started by George Moschous in the late 1800’s has now evolved to a group of companies and involves quarrying, trading, constructions and engineering services.
Apart from the products that come from our private quarries, a large variety of quality materials are traded and stocked from all over the world where most types and colors are covered. All materials may be cut to size and supplied in any surface finish required.
