At HERSEN we are manufacturers of crane accessories such as this arm for loading and unloading cranes. It is a very useful and practical solution for the transport, loading and unloading of packaged board packages (or bundles) in closed containers since it allows large and heavy loads to be moved very easily.
In this model of loading arms for cranes, the bundle or package of boards is in the middle of the two arms as we can see in the image above.
HERSEN bundle loading and unloading arm types:
The arms for loading and unloading bundles or packages of boards in closed containers can be manufactured with different load capacities, the most used are 3.5 and 4tn. The loading arm has an empty weight (when it is not loaded) and once it is loaded the sum of both (empty weight + load) gives us a total weight. The crane where the loading arm is installed must have the capacity to lift this total load.
The 5tn crane is one of the most widely used in marble workshops. When this is the case, to lift a 3.5 ton bundle requires that the loading arm weigh less than 1.5 ton to be able to be used in this type of 5 ton cranes. For this reason, two types of construction are made: standard (model A) and light (model L). One of the two main differences between one model and another is the following:
Curb Weight: Standard construction weighs more than light curb. In this way, with the L model, a 3.5tn bundle can be loaded / unloaded with a 5tn crane.
They can be manufactured in different sizes for the HERSEN model A and model L, although the most used and demanded are two models:

For the transport of heavy tonnage loads inside industries with one axle. These heavy duty trolleys, manufactured entirely by HERSEN, can withstand loads of up to 80 tons. They are certified and have successfully passed the relevant tests in technological institutes. The model shown in the photos (Ref 50458) corresponds to an example capable of transporting loads of up to 20 tons in very small spaces. The measurements of this particular unit are 3m x 2.6m. However, at HERSEN we design and tailor any order of this type to adapt at all times to the customer’s needs.Our range of industrial trailers is equipped with double wheels to distribute weight and improve safety. In addition, thanks to the rubber surface that each wheel has, they are designed to adapt to the irregularities of the ground and avoid vibrations on the load. The turning system allows each of the wheels to adapt independently to the necessary radius that each one must make to make the curve and stabilize the load. The steering has an advanced regulation system to maintain the alignment of the wheels and thus avoid their wear. The configuration of the rotating system of industrial trailers can be:
Simple System: With this system, the front wheels turn following the tiller.
The tiller is vertically flexed to accommodate different hitch heights on towing vehicles. The rudder has a support that is adjustable to be able to adjust the height.
On the other hand, the industrial trailer has safety bars, they are specially manufactured for heavy-duty trolleys, they protect the operator from falling boards during loading and unloading. It has several snap positions to insert the safety bars that adjust according to the number of boards that have been loaded.

The rudder bends vertically to adapt the different hook heights of towing vehicles. The rudder has an adjustable support to adjust the height.
Additionally, the industrial trailer has security bars, which are made specially for heavy cargo trolleys, protecting the operator from the risk of slabs falling during loading and unloading. There are various fitting positions to insert the security bars which can be adjusted according to the number of slabs that have been loaded.

The HERSEN jib crane is ideal for any job requiring the lifting and transportation of material within a medium-length slewing range. It is a very useful tool in workshops where it is used as the only lifting machine and in areas which service concrete points of the workshop, where the gantry crane cannot reach. It is also a good complementary tool in certain areas of the facilities, when the gantry crane is needed in other areas, thus avoiding wasted time.
This type of device is always made to order so that it can be adapted to the requirements of each individual client. There are different manufacturing models. The client can decide from the following options:

The model seen in the photos corresponds to a unit recently manufactured at the HERSEN plant. This particular column-mounted jib crane measures 5 metres in height. The column alone has a height of 4.5 metres. The maximum load that can be borne by this device is of 500 kg.

These three-base suction pads lift, move, load and unload large or longer pieces of marble, like counter tops, large slabs or fragile and delicate materials. These are pieces which, in addition to the consideration of the weight to be lifted, need to be lifted from three different points in order to prevent the less stable parts of the piece from splitting, as can happen in cases where they are gripped at only one point. For example, on a kitchen worktop, where there is a gap, the sides are more fragile and thus it is difficult to lift the piece without splitting it.
