In 2002 Matt Clark and Katie Franklin opened their tile design studio in San Luis Obispo. Our staff works closely with clients to create one of a kind tile and stone projects. Matt Clark Tile & Stone has been bringing the finest in ceramic tile and stone to the California's central coast since 2002. Beginning with the Country Floors collection, MCT&S has grown to feature some of the premier tilemakers in the United States and abroad. Visit our stunning showroom featuring Sonoma Tilemakers, Oceanside Glasstile, Artistic Tile, Country Floors, Sicis, among some of the finest natural stone and porcelain tile imported from all over the world.
In 1977, Matt Clark began working with tile and stone in Malibu, CA. While living in New York City in the eighties, Matt apprenticed with master tile installer, Armand Agresti . Returning to the West Coast in 1988, Matt worked with the incomparable Ann Sacks in her original Portland showroom. In the nineties, Matt worked in NYC with David Garbo and Jed Johnson. Throughout the years Matt had the opportunity to work with a number of outstanding architects, designers, craftsmen, artists and clients on both coasts and has brought this world of tile to Matt Clark Tile & Stone.
