Company Description
Hydestone was created through the separation from sister company George Ellis Contracting in 2002. Hydestone specialises in supplying and exporting of quality natural stone for building and paving.
We supply high quality Schist Walling Stone, Paving Stone, Landscaping Stone and Pillars, Gates Fences & Chimneys. Our Schist product range includes, Hyde Brown, Kokonga Basalt, Hyde Grey, Hyde Blend, Saddle Hill Basalt.
In 2005 we sought Branz Appraisal for our exclusive schist products. This involved product testing and development of a building system encompassing the new building regulations. June 2006 saw the completion of this project and we were granted Branz Appraisal No.508. This also saw the publication of our Hydestone Schist Wall Cladding System which has been distributed nationally, it is also available on either the Branz website or Hydestone.co.nz.
Hydestone sought an export permit in 1991 and since then has sent product to a number of overseas customers.
