SUMNER Schist was started 32 years ago as The Slate and Stone Center making us the most experienced stone veneer company in New Zealand. We pioneered the stone veneer industry in New Zealand which started approximately 20 years ago, and are the first local stone quarry to have a Codemarked system for installation. Today SUMNER exports schist overseas from its own South Island quarries, as well as selling to our local market.
