Company Description
Our story began way back in the 1990’s when local builder Dave York took Rob Comer under his wing and they began building together. Some years later, they were doing some haulage work for the local recently re-opened quarry in Hadspen, and they were offered the opportunity to take on the lease so Hadspen Quarry Ltd was born. The quarry was eventually purchased from the land owner.
Investment in the business and operations has always been important to us, so in 2015 we had the opportunity to gain the lease for the last functioning Blue Lias quarry in Keinton Mandeville, Somerset and extraction began to complement our existing operations.
Hadspen Quarry now operates the two quarries, side by side producing the finest stone for walling, masonry, flagstones, cladding and block stone.
Committed to keeping a family business, both Dave’s and Rob’s wives (Steph & Lucy) run the office side of things. Our customers value our small business ethics, and with the combined 60 years of building knowledge that both Rob & Dave bring, Hadspen Quarry produces excellent stone products backed up with knowledge and customer service that is second to none.The Team
