Company Description
Szerelmey was established in 1855 and is a privately owned company being in the same family since 1971. The Company was founded on restoration, and our Restoration Division remains at the heart of the business. Szerelmey Restoration works primarily as a principal contractor and undertakes restoration, conservation, refurbishment and remodelling works on listed, heritage properties across London and the UK. We support apprenticeships and training, especially within our Restoration team and are keen to help preserve traditional building skills and craftsmanship.
In the 1970s the Company expanded to incorporate new natural stone building work, which includes design, supply, installation and full project management. The Company delivers external cladding, hard landscaping and internals and can provide everything from the substructure out including SFS, SIPS, DPCs, fire walls and insulation; normally we work as a specialist subcontractor. We have a large in house Design Department who work to BIM level 2, industry-leading project management teams and a highly skilled, directly employed work force.
Some years ago we established Szerelmey GB, which delivers our projects outside London and across the UK including Oxford, Cambridge, Bath, Southampton, Guernsey and Birmingham. In the last decade we have also set up a Faience Department that works closely with several key suppliers and is experienced in the quirkiness of this on-trend material. We will also work with brick, precast, terrazzo, mosaics and concrete as part of a stone package, in both our new build and Restoration divisions.
