A highly successful stone supply and installation company, Presti Stone & Mason Corp. is located in Freeport, NY. Presti Stone & Mason Corp. is an institution of general construction knowledge and information available free to both the homeowner and contractor. Numerous displays of beautiful exterior and interior building stone are available for floors, walls, and extensions. During the peak summer season, the firm employs 23 craftsmen. Mike Susi supervises the company's retail business and Miguel Ventura is the company's foreman for its stone installation projects. Other key members of the company team includes Joe's wife Katie and Joe's daughter Juliann Grace Presti-Rizzo. Architect, Juliann graduated from the New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, NY. Juliann is also the firm's architectural consultant and designer. Joe Presti is clearly the kind of person who can't do things in a small way. In the 60's, for example, he was buying property and building and selling homes at breakneck pace on Long Island to accommodate the migration from the New York boroughs -for Brooklynites and residents of The Bronx and Queens who wanted to raise their kids in"the country." With his wife Katie, he had, for several years operated a restaurant and catering hall while simultaneously running Presti Stone & Mason Corp. Joe took care of business, moving from Queens County to Freeport, NY, some ten miles east on to Long Island, and branching into a home building venture in West Babylon, further out on Long Island. He says he got into the stone business "by Accident." The firm's work today is almost all in supplying and installing a variety of natural stone for private custom homes all over Long Island - patios, fireplaces, and exterior walls - all reflect that special touch Presti stone craftsmanship.
