RIO SEGRAN was founded in 1992, when two major Brazilian companies in the natural stone industry merged. In order to meet the rising demand and increase production capacity, RIO SEGRAN has expanded its industrial site, which is currently comprised of two plants in Duque de Caxias. Six Brazilian and two brand-new Italian gang saws, two polishing machines with 22 heads and a resin oven, all the latest technology available, allow the production of 50.000m² of slabs by month, polished under rigid quality controls. Since it was founded, RIO SEGRAN has been a significant presence in the national market as a supplier of marbles originating from different countries including Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey, with average imports of 300 containers per year. Nowadays we have more than 80 types of national granites in our portfolio, some from our own quarry, others from some participation, as: Verde Bahia (Ubatuba); Verde Peacock; Giallo Fiorito;Jup. Gaivota; Yellow River and Samoa, etc. The containers of RIOSEGRAN have been shipped to many countries, from different continents. They are loaded with Brazilian products, which quality has been appreciated by the worldwide market, contributing to the recognition of our name.
