We were founded as a family business in 1983 by Nathan and Andra Pennington with construction as the foundation of the company and grew over time building a reputation for premium work and high-quality results. As outdoor hardscape and masonry work became a larger opportunity, their strong reputation in the space encouraged them to expand their capabilities.
In the early 2000’s the business extended into landscaping and stone sales with two locations. We are headquartered in Winnsboro, TX, with a satellite location in Caddo Mills, TX. These locations operate as both showroom and sales locations for commercial and residential architects, masons, landscapers, contractors, and homeowners.
As the business took on more cut stonework and implemented premium wet cutting capabilities, Nathan realized that there were many unusual and hard jobs that were not easy for contractors and masons to source and began to specialize. Through the development of innovative techniques and the implementation of high-tech equipment, the business has grown and thrived.
After more than three decades of building and evolving the company, Nathan and Andra were ready to find a buyer that would carry forward the principles of the business and continue to grow what they had started.
In 2021, Kent and Kamie Eckert acquired the company and have been privileged to transition it from one family to another. For the Eckert’s this marked both a career and lifestyle change as they were looking to buy a business they could run and grow together. They had each spent more than 30 years in the corporate world growing successful careers, building teams and scaling businesses. Texas Custom Stoneworks offered an opportunity to to build upon their combine experiences while connecting their passion for home renovation and landscaping.
The stone and construction industry are constantly evolving and the investment in state-of-the art technology to facilitate innovation means that the business is continuing to change too. One thing, however, that hasn’t changed is our commitment to quality, innovation, and precision ensuring we deliver best-in-industry products.
