In 1999 I accepted a secondment as CEO of a truck and trailer lift company in Greece. It was the same company, I worked in Denmark, but my wife and I have always dreamed to go abroad - and now, without children. This 5-year period of secondment has given us both a deep knowledge of Greece culturally - and I especially commercially. Several of its clients were large Greek quarries and processors who, in my opinion, selling their quality products at incredibly low prices - seen with Danish eyes. When my period of secondment was finished in autumn 2004, we traveled back Denmark, where we found ourselves down in Roskilde. Since our new apartment still had a total refurbishment, it was a good test for my job Greek contacts to supply board sheets for the new kitchen. And it successfully. We got exactly the product we wanted us and half the price. The mission was to create a family-driven company that could provide all Danes possibility 1 class nature of the products.
