Incoveca Granitos, SA was created by Silvino do Santos Paiva in 1979. Initially, it was only designed for civil construction and public works but soon directed its activity to the manufacture of ornamental stones with the construction of Sernancelhe factory unit.
Since its beginning, the company has clearly understood the importance between the extracting and transforming sectors, starting prospecting, licensing and exploiting several granite quarries located in the region where it lies.
Incoveca Granitos, SA underwent a sturdy technological development, won a sound position on the domestic and external markets and in 1993 acquired the factory units of Mundão industrial zone expanding its range of products by manufacturing calibrated, grinded and bevelled granite tiles of 1 cm in thickness.
The companys structural growth was fully achieved by adding Caparrosa – Tondela factories, which are the countrys largest transforming plants of ornamental granites. Nines months ago, we inaugurated a complete new processing plant exclusively for marbles, limestone and travertine, from Portugal and all over the world, equipped with the most up dated Simec-system, Being now the country’s largest company of ornamental stone.
