In 1976, David Jorgensen established a new business, called Topcraft, which produced laminate countertops. The business slowly evolved from laminate countertops to incorporating some natural stone and laminate. Eventually, it evolved to the exclusive use of stone surfaces creating and installing the highest quality countertops in Utah. Over the years, Dave often took his sons, Alan, Eric, and Steve, to work with him to teach them the fine craft of fabricating and installing granite countertops and quartz surfaces.
In 2002, Dave and his sons went into business together, changing the name to Bedrock Quartz Surfaces to reflect the shift in product. Today, Bedrock Quartz Surfaces utilizes a variety of stone including granite, marble, travertine, and quartz to fabricate countertops, kitchen countertops, fireplace surrounds, and shower and tub enclosures. Bedrock Quartz Surfaces has created beautiful customized countertops and surfaces for a variety of clients.

Bedrock Quartz Surfaces utilizes granite slabs from local distributors and several quartz products to create beautiful and natural quartz and stone surfaces. The resulting products are sold to residential and commercial builders, remodeling firms, cabinet companies, kitchen and bath dealers, and wholesale contractors.
It takes a highly skilled, professional and dedicated staff to design, fabricate, and install all the granite slabs and stone work. Using state-of-the-art stone fabrication equipment, this family business is able to fabricate up to seven kitchens a day. The combination of expertise and advanced technology allows Bedrock Quartz Surfaces to meet even the most pressing deadlines without compromising the quality of the product.
