Basilica Limestone
The Basilica Limestone is a warm creamy beige color with darker straight veined sedimentary rock. This essentially means the stone is quarried along the grain as opposed to against it. In a cross-cut, cutting against the grain, the different colours and tones you would usually find within a layer are represented by slightly different shades spread across different tiles.
The Basilica limestone is born from Kirmejak quarry which yields numerous dense stones each with a very different look. The Basilica is a beautiful layer 600mm deep.
